I'll admit to being bamboozled into it.  My friend actually played the ninja card and said that I had to be ready to eat anything at anytime and raw octopus was what was available.  I said to her there was no way I was falling for that line and I wouldn't eat it no matter how she sneaky she was.

So I ate the raw octopus.  It was squeaky and slimy
