I enjoy being able to pick out voice actors from all the anime I watch but I've never been able to do it with the Japanese actors until today. Django is also Franky; so happy I was able to pick that out.

Seems stupid, I'm guessing, but I enjoy the mini victories of life.

Oh wow, I didn't realize he was also Jango! The same voice actor also does Mr. 2, who I think you haven't seen yet (or maybe he showed up for about six seconds in that Alabasta ep we were watching) -- that I did catch. It's a very distinctive vocal style. (Something about the way they both inflect the end of their sentences, although technically the inflection isn't quite the same, since Mr 2 is an okama and Franky... isn't. That I know of. ^_^)

Usopp's voice actor (Kappei Yamaguchi) is also a very well known voice actor. Not sure if he voices other characters within the series.

(Love the icon! That's so adorable! I want to steal it.)

OMG THIS KILLS ME. I was AT Animazement that year (last year, 2010), and I skipped the Kappei Yamaguchi panel for... some reason that I cannot now recall. (I didn't feel like standing in line for it? I was tired? I was hungry? WHAT WAS I THINKING, SERIOUSLY.)

At least, I'm pretty sure I remember skipping it. I certainly don't remember this performance, although it's true it wouldn't have meant as much to me at the time.

Yep, that's him! (Also now dying laughing over a Franky video on YouTube... I need to stop while I'm ahead.)

Not stupid at all! So much of my focus is on reading the subs that it takes me forever to recognize the Japanese voices. (Which can be a good thing: as I watch more dubbed anime and American cartoons, I get distracted by recognizing voice actors. You can't be Ben 10! You're Yuri from Kyo Kara Maoh!)

Me too, managaroo! I saw Franky but kept thinking Django, which is how I caught it. I'm usually too busy trying to keep up with the reading to pay much attention to voices.

Unless of course, they say "nani", which I am excellent at picking out. hehe
