Haven't made a public post since August. Terrible. The constant stress of producing 140-character messages on Twitter and reasonable-length different posts on Facebook pretty much saps all my writing energy, but I really like Twitter's format. Yeah, I pretty much agree with everything in that first paragraph. I do most of my posting these days from my phone, so the bite-size Twitter/Facebook updates are less taxing on my thumbs. When I want to put down something of more substance, I have a much larger audience on Facebook now. And if I ever get around to starting up the food blog again, it'll be back at it's own site, not here.

I do sorely miss being able to (ab)use formatting. And my cute kitty moods. And threaded commenting. That's about it.

I am just glad that there are people like you, Abby, Sarah M. and Dan in my life - people who knew me when that I have managed to stay fairly close to in the decade since we all left home.

And you have to admit, some of the LJ posts from college are awesome.

And I hope I get to meet Olga someday, too :)

Oh so I still occasionally post hints/comments on a few crafting/knitting communities here, and I had to remind myself the other day that LJ only lets you know when people directly reply to your comment, not the entire thread, and that there is no "best answer" award on some LJ knitting help thread. It seems like another planet here sometimes!

Perhaps the reason that I still feel compelled to use LiveJournal is I loathe Facebook, but everyone else seems to have decided FB isn't lame. Oh well.

And congrats on 7 straight days... I remember when Janine and I had planned for 3 and then that kept going. LJ refers to it being at 12... probably ended at 14.
