There is a very distinct difference between the stress of fighting to save (or destroy) the world and the stress of being near someone who is giving childbirth. I was not aware of this difference until now.
That aside, it has apparently fallen to me to tell you all that, at around noon today, my niece was born. Her name is Ashlyn May Slemmons Agnew. She is 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and in good health. When she's older, I hope she appreciates her bragging rights as the first second-generation "Refugee", though of course that term doesn't technically apply anymore.
... Dear gods, I'm never having kids.
