When you're writing patriotic propaganda, you need to decide who your audience will be. This seems pitched in tone at schoolchildren, with its florid language and simplistic stereotypes. I'm not sure whether this is an exercise in irony or not.

This was written during the whole Ondoy devastation, wasn't it? I might be a little biased here, given the fact that I am a Filipino and do have an idea of what you're trying to say.

I understand what message you're trying to convey, but not the entirety of it. Yes, we are Filipinos and we go through all these troubles, self-inflicted ones and otherwise. But I don't fully get your point, sorry. So enlighten me.

I like the way you listed on examples of our countrymen doing caring and helpful deeds. I was just wondering though if this is meant to show how admirable the Filipino spirit can truly be or if this is meant to say that we could have done more, we can do more.

Anyway, I'm just glad you posted this. It's good knowing Filipinos out here and hearing what they have to say or write regarding such national concerns and issues.

Kudos.
