I made sure to get this finished today for irony points. As an American, I'm celebrating July 4th which is all about freedom. While poor MiA's is taken for him. Now to go back to cuddling my poor frightened puppy...

Shame on me; I should have at least suspected Jin, given his history with Tsunehito. He's truly evil in this fic, and I feel so bad for San. At least he has enough freedom to explain a few things to MiA. Can you imagine how much worse it would be if MiA kept trying to ask questions of someone who was ordered not to speak (or heaven forbid, to outright lie)?!

I hope you and Callum survived the fireworks with minimal trauma!

I was a bit surprised that no one had guessed him. San definitely has the worst situation to deal with. Oh that'd be awful if San couldn't tell MiA anything or had to lie to him. Jin doesn't particularly care what San says to MiA though there are some limitations.

He was pretty spooked by the noise but he recovered enough to hog half of my bed and sleep for a while. I had about an inch of pillow and was squished against my plushies lol.

I got that impression from Jin; he's so cocky that he doesn't really care much what his underlings do. Though he's cunning enough to give them orders that would prevent an escape.

Fireworks really are the worst for animals. I'm glad he was able to relax after, even if it did mean stealing most of your bed!

Jin has made it this far without registering on vampire security radar so while he's cocky, he isn't stupid about it.

They really are. Callum would be lying down all relaxed then he'd jump and get spooked whenever he heard a firework go off. Even though I didn't have much to myself he still makes a great sleep aid! Nothing more relaxing than a tired animal next to you.

As horrifying as poor MiA's situation is in this story - and it is truly awful - I feel even worse for San. It would be one thing if all conscious memory of having been something other than Jin's slave was removed, but he's fully aware of who he used to be, what was done to him, and that he's serving a horrible creature for the rest of his life (I'm assuming with a bond like that, if one of them were to die, the other would die as well?) Also, I was kind of relieved to get to the picture and find out the Jin in question wasn't SCREW's Jin!

Poor MiA indeed. Out of all the vampires that appear in this fic, San's story is the most tragic. Fortunately that's not the case! Jin is his maker so he's the only vampire that has control over him. If Jin dies, the bond is broken and San is free forever. San's hopes are that either Jin will get tired of him and leave him or somehow one or both of them dies. Bet that was unsettling to read about your preferred Jin doing such awful things to MiA and San!
