LJに帰った!

This little hiatus was something I dearly needed. Over the summer, I finally swallowed my delusions and admitted to myself that it wouldn't be financially possible for me to attempt to enter the JET Program for the 2017-2018 year. When I left English Club/Japan in 2015, it was my hope that I could return in a year or two. It was pretty crushing for ( Read more... )

There certainly are advantages to being a student (although as much typing as I did during school, that might not have been any better for your wrists). I hope you're able to get into the surgeon's office soon, and he or she is able to offer you some decent treatment options.

Sorry to hear that your plans to go back to Japan didn't work out. But I'm sure something better will come along eventually. ^_^

Probably not. I was in Japanese too and the best way for me to study for the kanji tests was to write out the characters a certain amount of time for practice. I hope so too. At this rate, I think surgery is the only option left to me because I've tried physical therapy and shots. Nothing worked.

I'm upset about it too, especially with how the country has become a political hellhole. It would've been nice to escape abroad. Here's hoping.

Welcome back to VK fanfic! I hope that you're able to find a solution to your hands - there is nothing worse than wanting to write and not being able to do it!

Thank you! It's nice to be back. I really hope so too. They are doing a bit better now at least, though I seem to be at the end of my typing limit for tonight so I'll have to take a rest break.

I know money is an issue, but have you ever thought of using dictation software? (Like Nuance Dragon, maybe Siri, Windows also has a Speech Recognition program built in (at least in Win8 and 10, under "Windows Ease of Access" or "Accessibility")). I haven't tried any so I can't vouch for them, and you'd likely have to still make corrections, but it might lessen the load on your hands.

I hope things go well at the doctors and that you can finally get some relief.
