I hope I'm posting in the right place, but I just wanted to say hi.. to introduce myself as it were. *waves* I just had a baby so my word count is really low for a couple of weeks... but I do plan on increasing my goal soon.

A question: if I post 1200 words, and my goal was 1000 do the other 200 go to a teammate's word count?

Hi! This is a little new, but it works like this. You write 1200 words, someone else was a little short. They still don't get the points for hitting their goal, but it does go to the team wordcounts, so we go get (or at least get closer) to our team goal, raising our percentage and getting more points.

It does. How do I go about increasing my word count to 1000 a week? that won't change my team, would it?

Just change it--when you're posting your words say 1057/1000 or whatever, instead of 157/100. And no, it won't change your team.
