Peter’s face paled at Jason’s words. Jason thought he was… gay? As in… liked boys? Oh… Oh, god…
Peter swallowed, staring down at his lap and then at his bed sheets. He couldn’t say anything other than non-specific grunting noises and coughs.
“Fuck…” He heard Jason say from his right, where he was sitting on his respective bed. “Pete, don’t take that the wrong way. I just… Needed to tell someone. Please don’t let this make things awkward between us. I just-“
“No.” Peter cut him off, finally looking up to him. No time like the present… “No, what I meant was…” He swallowed again, pulling up the little courage he had to say the unspeakable. “Y-Yeah. M-me too. I think. I think I might be…g-…” He swallowed again, looking back down at his hands. Why was this so hard on him and not Jason? He envied Jason’s comfort with his sexuality. “Yeah, me too.”
Kiss me too fiercely
Hold me too tight
I need help believing
You're with me tonight
My wildest dreamings
Could not foresee
Lying beside you
With you wanting me
Peter looked up from his spot on his bed to Jason, nudging his head to invite him over. As Jason came, Peter flipped a page in his textbook while marking a spot in his notebook with his other hand.
“What?” Jason asked, leaning over and sitting down next to him. Peter breathed in his scent, doing his best not to close his eyes and soak in the very closeness of Jason. No. That isn’t right… So not right at all…
“It’s n-nothing.” Peter stuttered, his eyes snapping open and darting down the page again. “I just… I don’t really understand this problem.”
“Oh,” Jason replied, leaning forward, over Peter, to read the textbook. “Well, all you really have to do is-“
But he was cut off by Peter, who turned his head just slightly and connected their lips. Their lips moved together like water down a waterfall, rolling off each other’s as sloppily and awkwardly as a teen’s first kiss, though it too left a simple, pure feeling of bliss.
Suddenly, Peter broke the kiss, leaning back before bringing his hands up to Jason’s shoulders to push him away, as they were now facing each other. Stumbling back off his bed, he turned towards the wall, cursing under his breath. No… this wasn’t supposed to happen. Oh, fuck, this is so wrong…
Slowly, Jason rose from his spot on the bed, and walked up behind Peter. He gently reached to the front of Peter’s face and lightly rested his hand on Peter’s chin, turning him around to face Jason’s.
Jason inched in and connected their lips once again and Peter let the world fall away this time.
Just for this moment
As long as you're mine
I've lot all resistance
And crossed some borderline
And if it turns out
It's over too fast
I'll make every last moment last
As long as you're mine
“Hey…” Jason says as he closes the door behind him to be immediately pulled to the center of his dorm by his tie.
“Dressed up, are we?”
“Mmhmm…” Jason replies, stumbling forward a bit as Peter pulls him closer. “All for you. And the basketball banquet.” He smiles, leaning in a bit closer to Peter. “But mostly for you.”
Peter’s confidence drops a few levels at Jason’s words, though he tries to maintain the playful flirting aura they had going. “Why, did you have something… in mind?”
“Well, there are a few things going on in my head…” Jason smirks. “But I guess that’s all up to you, huh?”
Peter mumbles and fingers the bottom of Jason’s tie, uncertainly. “Yeah…”
Jason’s smirk fades as he looks down at Peter, concern beginning to grow in his eyes. “Pete, I mean, if you don’t want to, I understand that… I wasn’t trying to… Oh, fuck Peter, I’m so sorry. I just…” Jason sighs and looks away, ashamed.
“No…” Peter replies, eyes fixed on the tie he’s still fingering, “Let’s… Let’s do it.” He looks up, eyes shining with something Jason’s never seen before. “Tonight.”
Maybe I'm brainless
Maybe I'm wise
But you've got me seeing
Through different eyes
Somehow I've fallen
Under your spell
And somehow I'm feeling
It's “up” that I fell
Jason looked up as Peter called him, quickly abandoning his textbook to go to his side. Anything for Peter and… Well, the momentary lack of Honors English homework isn’t necessarily a con either.
“What?” Jason sat down on the bed, leaning towards Peter as he did so. Homework helping always gave him some excuse to get a little bit closer to Peter. He swore it was the only reason why he was head of the class.
Peter stuttered back, “It’s n-nothing. I just… I don’t really understand this problem.”
Jason smiled sympathetically and leaned over Peter to read the problem. Oh, Algebra… “Oh, well, all you have to do is-“ Jason was suddenly cut off by Peter’s lips on his. Oh… god… Jason fell. He just fell as far down as he could without literally falling off the bed. He never knew anything could be so wonderful, could feel like this, could-
Then it was over as quickly as it started. Peter was pushing himself away, turning towards the wall and cursing at someone. Whether the profanities were aimed at himself or Jason, he would never know.
Slowly, Jason stood up and crossed over to Peter. He wanted that again… And he would get it. He had to. He gently turned Peter towards him and pressed another kiss into his lips, silencing any doubts.
Every moment
As long as you're mine
I'll wake up my body
And make up for lost time
Say there's no future
For us as a pair
Jason sat on his bed, just breathing in the atmosphere. He had just revealed his darkest secret to his room mate. And, fuck, wouldn’t you know it, the little Christian didn’t look like he was taking it too well.
As Peter averted his eyes, looking anywhere but at Jason, he tried to devise a save. “Fuck…” He mumbled. “Pete, don’t take that the wrong way. I just… Needed to tell someone.” Oh, shit, please don’t take this the wrong way… I need someone that I can lean on with this… Jason sighed and continued, looking at Peter with desperate eyes that he knew he wouldn’t see. “Please don’t let this make things awkward between us. I just-“
“No.” Suddenly, Peter cut him off. “No, what I meant was…” Jason waited, his whole body stiff and refusing to move, for fear that he might break Peter’s concentration. “Y-Yeah. M-me too. I think. I think I might be…g-…” Jason’s eyes bugged out of his head. Peter too? Was he serious? This had to be some sick, wonderful joke… It was far to perfect to have the boy of his dreams, quite literally, sleeping in the bed next to him. “Yeah, me too.”
Jason looked back to his own bed and then to the wall on his side of the room. He was beaming.
And though I know I may know
I don't care
Just for this moment
As long as you're mine
Come be how you want to
And see how bright we shine
Borrow the moonlight
Until it is though
And know I'll be here holding you
As long as you're mine
