Take all the pressure off yourself when you write. When writers' block really sets in, I think it sort of feeds on itself and just gets worse. The only real cure is just to write. Write anything. Write stuff you'd never show to anyone. Write absolute rubbish. Don't worry about making it perfect or even good. You could also try writing from prompts - that's a good way to find some inspiration back and to really get your imagination working again. There are a lot of challenge and prompt comms on LJ that can help you out there.

Read as much as possible, too. Reading's as important to writing as writing itself is.

Problem is, reading other stories can make it worse for me, especially if the writing is really popular/good. Then I feel like I shouldn't bother, if I can't match up to that.

Thank you for the great ideas! Never heard of "bibliomancy," will have to try that soon.

I do have a few "fans" online, and an offline friend who loves it when I have something done, but even they can't get me out of it most times :) But those are good ideas. Thank you!
