My Long Overdue "I Beat FE11 And I Didn't Even Get a Lousy Bumper Sticker" Post

Actually beat FE11 (on Normal) a couple of days ago, but with classes started (and shoveling all this gawdamn snow) I haven't been able to share my thoughts on it until now.

Overall, I liked it. None of the characters or settings really spoke to me enough really to write anything about them at the moment--but again, I don't feel comfortable writing ( Read more... )

From what I've seen from fandom...people want more 'fic of Xane/Chainey/Chaine/whatever he's called nowadays.

I'll admit the game didn't impress me overly much. Probably because of the characters. But I did like Frey. I don't care if he only gets like two lines! XD

Hard mode... hell no. /hides forever

I'd rather lose at WoW over and over again. It's less frustrating somehow!

Hehe. I'd probably play WoW if it weren't for the monthly fee. I did play Warcraft III (and FT) back in the day (along with Starcraft, Diablo II, and most of Blizz's other stuff.

Ah, those were the days xD

The monthly fee can be a good thing. The game (for some, anyway) is involving enough that the monthly fee is worth it. (Versus, say, going to a movie twice a month, or even buying one DVD a month. Or going out to dinner, etc. It's worth it if those are the alternatives sometimes. Not to say I don't go out to eat and stuff. I kind of think...hmm, another month of entertainment? Or two hours eating something.)

I resisted WoW for a long time...but all three siblings dragged me in... :|

I had one that was basically Beck and Jake sitting on the back lines...

Write it write it write it. I love those guys. I owe thenicochan a 'fic about them, too.

Is he secretly a shapeshifting assassin that kills his victims and perfectly mimics their appearance and mannerism (because that would be awesome XD)?

I like that idea. I can tell you exactly what he is, if you want to know. (It's hinted at if you have him talk to Tiki in FE11, and the whole story comes out in FE3/12).

When normal enemies started carrying Brave weapons by chapter 20, I was almost relieved.

LOL. I like the hard modes, because I can just worry about playing and not worry about cut scenes and other distractions. Also, I can sacrifice units without mercy and take as many turns as I like and not have to worry about rankings. I'm bad. :)
