A Few Random things (Jean-Claude Ran Damme)

1. I decided to get a PSP, so now I can ask for PSP games for GENERICMAS and have a system to play them on. Yeah, I just decided, there are enough games I want for PSP that it's worth getting one. Got Star Ocean 2 again even though I played it already on PS1 (as Second Story), PLUS I get to play the first Star Ocean for the first time :D. I do have ( Read more... )

It's so sad that your wack-a-doodle last names are better than 85% of the fan-made last names I've seen given to these characters.

I admit I don't see Raven as a drummer.

INORITE? The worst ones are the uncreative names.

Names are the one thing I love coming up with. Story? Plotlines? Yech. Give me a cast of characters to create, though, and I'm right on it. Did you like the Ilian sisters' Scandirussian surnames/patronymics? XD

I don't really see Raven as a musician, period. XD But banging on the drums would seem good stress relief.

I wonder if I'll ever get around to writing it...

Yeah! They're simultaneously Russian and Icelandic! Uh, how's that work? Never mind, I'm afraid of the answer.

Also, I always pegged Erk as a bass-player type, but that's more of a rock band archetype than a Blues Brothers one. Like, Raven on lead guitar, Erk on bass, Wil on drums, Lowen at the microphone with his hair in his eyes (tambourine ftw!), and Matthew as the manager ripping them off.

Well, their father was a hearty bloke by the name of Roman Gunnar Ilyich Petersson Snow. Yeah, Snow, that's their family name. XD But everyone just calls him...ROMAN GUNNAR

Man, that's a pretty badass sounding name. Holy...

That rock band you mentioned would be like a (more) dysfunctional version of The Who. Lowen would be Roger Daltrey.

is the PSP's battery THAT fuckin’ bad that the time of a full charge to no charge is so short

Yes.

I tend to keep it plugged in at home while playing. The damned think has actually gone out on me before - at the end of an FFT battle, no less. Great timing, Sony.

man, that sucks :( Luckily, when my battery died on me, after I charged it back up, it took me right back to where I was (though maybe that was a feature of the game I was playing-- Star Ocean: First Departure :D :D :D)

I think I like my DS Lite a lot better. If all the PSP games I wanted weren't exclusives, I'd get them all for DS, but in the end, I think it's gonna be worth it.

It might be a game feature! Actually, you can turn the PSP off in the middle of a game and have it pick up where it left off, but so far as I could tell it had to be intentional - if the battery died, FFT decided you didn't want your data back.

I have SO1! I... should really get to playing it, shouldn't I! I'm still in the middle of Valkyrie Profile, though. XD; But yeah, the DS is a much better system. That battery would last through a nuclear holocaust and power your electricity for a week, but the PSP? It doesn't realize it's supposed to be a portable system.

VP: Lenneth? I played VP:2 but I never found the original. Maybe now that I have a PSP, I should pick up VP:L.

I had a strange love of Star Ocean 2 for the PS1, so when I got my PSP, the first games I picked up were the original Star Ocean (which I'm liking so far) and the PSP version of SO2 (just to see what stuff they added and all).

I have a bad habit of buying spiffy, updated game remakes. I bought Persona 3 twice, and if Atlus USA ever decides to localize P3P (pleeeeeeeeeeeease), I'll probably end up getting that too XD;;;

Heehee! These names are the hilarious.

Can't see Dart on the flute, though...perhaps piccolo? Are you going with the pirate-fife idea? Then again, piccolos are REALLY annoying, and jazz/rock flute is REALLY excellent. So... :P

Also. Wallace on mandolin is probably the greatest mental image ever.

Yeah, I always associate pirates with wind instruments for some reason. Maybe Dart'd play a contrabassoon, just because it's BIG. xD Hey, anything goes when you're singing the blues!

Serra on the sax. :O Or, or, Lyn on the banjo! XP

Also, hi there! :D :D

Bahaha. That's another great image. Ah, the contrabassoon...that's actually one of the things I love best about jazz/blues/etc. The no-rules-edness. :)

And YES. I think Serra would actually be a pretty good sax player! It requires a certain sort of character, I've found...

Hi there back atcha :DD

Wallace on mandolin.

God. Story of my life right there.

I so needed that image after 1.) overtime work, and 2.) driving in freezing rain. So thanks! :B
