So I hate the feeling that school (well, college) has turned me into a spaz. I had all my shit together in high school, I got a 4.0, I did 2348023407432 activities and I pretty much kicked ass at everything and had a blast. But now I have test anxiety, general anxiety, I'm chronically exhausted and I'm not doing well in my Physics classes. I ( Read more... )

*hugs* If you can find me a flux capacitor, I'll fix mine and toss it your way. I'd love for the future to come sooner as well.

But you can do this, really. You're more than halfway finished with it, and it'll be worth all of the effort in the end. I know that you can get through this and I have total faith in you and your abilities.

And remember: you always have people should you need them. *hugs again*

*hugs* thank you. we're getting through this, definitely. i've ten days of class left in this semester. i can totally do that. you can do all that you need to, as well.

i'll have B check on the flux capacitor for you :)

for the record, I graduated with the lowest GPA of all of my immediate friends, I retook three classes (and only improved my grade in one of them), I worked retail instead of in labs or participating in clubs (and therefore sold my soul), yet I am pretty darn happy most of the time, I have two jobs that pertain to my future.

also, you don't get teen angst once you're 21. by then, you're having a quarter life crisis! but it's OK. I'll like you either way.

you are a pretty awesome person, as well as a bitchin' artist. i honestly hope i'm doing as well as you once i'm out of undergrad.

also, a quarter life crisis sounds so much more intense and not - deal - with - able than teen angst!

but i guess if you still think i'm ok, then we're good.

My method for dealing with school: break everything up into little pieces, write out a detailed list of everything you need to do, and then go about doing them whenever you have the time and cross things off the list as you accomplish them. It makes your workload manageable and crossing things off of lists > everything.

And look at it this way: you are over halfway done this whole malarkey and you've made it this far, haven't you? Don't give up, because it'll be something you'll regret in the future. You're going through a quarter-life crisis or something (don't worry, I go through one like every other day) and I guess you just have to realize that college is wildly different from high school (not everyone goes for a reason) but you can succeed just the same. Okay, end of feel-good rant!

I REALLY LIKE TYPING IN THIS BOX.

Ugh, lists are seriously my life. I can't function if I don't have a to-do list.

props on use of 'malarkey.' why aren't you closer so we can have school - related angst together? oh wait, you're not in school right now. but i swear, if i'm taking chem 101 at drexel this summer, i'm making you take it with me.

bleh school sucks and i hate you for having a well paid job pertaining to your major before you even leave school. but at least i get a bitchin' holiday party out of it?

I'm really sorry things are sucky...
I don't know if this helps at all, but the fact that you "love the non-school things you do" puts you way ahead of the people who only like being in school and are afraid of getting real jobs. Do you feel like any of the things you're doing now are setting you up for later on, at least?

that's a good point. i do take pride in doing so many different things that i like. as for later on, it's so hard to know because i haven't had any jobs in ~physics~ yet, so i don't know what's out there or what i want to be doing or anything like that. hopefully i'll find a physics job this summer that will tell me i'm on the right path with what i'm doing...
