Try to expose people to different things and look what it gets ya!

I am so frustrated with some of the people going on the NYC trip I've been planning for my aunt's drama club. Nine of them have changed to the early morning flight on Sunday so that they can attend graduation parties back home.

Let me explain exactly what happens in our little town around graduation time. For at least a month after graduation, ( Read more... )

*Racking brain*

I'm woefully short of connections when it comes to the entertainment industry. I hate that!

If I were you I'd contact BET and MTV directly and ask. What do you have to lose?

Here's information for BET Corporate: http://www.bet.com/BETCorporate/
* Look below for various emails and contacts.

For MTV, all I could find was information to be on TRL:

Give them a call. The worst they can say is "No". :D

This is my favorite line from your post.

"I've lost count of how many times I've been to NYC."

Can you even imagine you would be saying that back in 2001 when we met you in New Orleans? How we begged you to get on a plane and go to Vegas with the DNs. :D I just love that you've been more times than you can count. ;)

Why don't you try to get ahold of BET or MTV. You're a resourceful kind of gal. You could alway plan (for a nominal fee of about $55) a helicopter tour of NYC. Ok $55 will get you a 5-7 minute ride, but wouldn't that be the ride of their lives?

Good luck FM, I know you'll come up with something super.

I may try to set up lunch on Sunday at Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs restaurant, Justin's, in Harlem. That is something they would consider cool (although they wouldn't use the word "cool").

JL, never in a million years would I have been able to say that back in 2001. Talk about a life that's done a complete 180. :)

Thanks for the links, H!

My first thought was 'shopping'! but not everyone is into shopping. Sorry I can't be of much help, never been to NYC.

Good luck!

Sorry I don't have any connections, FM! But if I run into anyone, I'll be sure to let you know. ;)
