The car repair place called me back. Apparently, I threw the engine rod into the oil pan yesterday, and I need a new engine. It'll cost somewhere between 3500 and 4000 bucks to fix. I don't have that. So, unless they know of a place where I can get an engine cheaper, it looks like I'm gonna have to sell my truck

Maybe God's trying to tell you that it's time to buy a new car.

How fast were you going when you broke down? I ask because if you'd thrown something important at high speed, I wouldn't be able to make fun of you the next time I see you. It's the highlight of my week. Don't deprive me of this small pleasure, the one pleasure that keeps me going week in and week out.

So, in summation: God wants you to have a new car and picking on you is my raison d'etre. I so need a life.

I wasn't going terribly fast, mainly because I was having problems picking up speed as I was heading up the hill on the interstate right before it happened.
Thankfully, one of the deacons at my church is gonna let us borrow his truck this week while he and his family are out of town.
