I don't believe I've posted in this community at all, yet! I've been going nuts between job interviews, buying a new car, and getting over a summer cold (don't you just hate those?).

Yes, I definately plan on doing some writing this summer. I'll have time during the summer for a change to actually do something creative and not just work my ass off.

My summer book reccomendations:

White Oleander by Janet Finch
Bridget Jones $ Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason by Helen Fielding
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin

And, of course, the entire Harry Potter series...;)

Yay, first comment! <3 :D Good luck with your job interviews and getting over the cold. They can be a pain.

What story do you have in the works?

Thanks for the recommendations!

My works are one original novel that's been collecting dust since NaNoWriMo and another is a Harry Potter fanfic. The fic starts in the summer of 1970 and follows the Potter family during the first war. It's still hard in the works.

I also picked up a few books from the library and thought I would pass them on!

The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
(both great American classics that I feel ashamed to have never read in their entirety)
and Trickster's Queen (?) by Tamora Pierce (a friend of mine has been telling me for MONTHS that I HAVE to read this series)

Good luck with them! I'd love to read more about the Potters.

Tamora Pierce is good, according to my brother. I read most of Huck Finn, but had to stop for some reason. Thanks for the recs!
