I have to sing a song for THE LAST FIVE YEARS auditions on Friday. I was going to sing Bye Room from Jon and Jen but I just found out there will be NO accompaniest. SO, do I still sing that song? Do I sing "Do you know what its like" From Zanna Dont? Or the song that goes "When will thou save the people oh God of mercy when...." from Godspell? ( Read more... )

you want something you're VERY familiar with if you have to do it acapella. Don't do that damn Godspell song, it's in a totally different style than the music from The Last Five Years. You want something VERY character driven.

You KNOW my vote. Stick with the J&J song, "Bye, Room". Your expressive delivery will pay off.

Evan. If you are desparate and really want to do the song Bye Room I can come over and play for you if it is OK with the director. However that does mean a movie night and trying out my Sensaria skin products and my sleeping on your floor that night and you taking me to places to shop for new clothes for me.
