crazy_otaku911 wanted me to write about someone being a ghost and kissing someone else to feel more real (with those someones being kitafuji) (only then I wanted Tama, and then Yokoo wanted kisses too) but uh ... I'm pretty sure this isn't the result she was looking for. TBH I have no idea what this is so let's all just mosey on along to the next turn now. /o\

He doesn't know how to make it stop, this blurring around the edges, but Fujigaya tries anyway. He tries traditional methods first, emptying whole piggy banks' worth of coins into temples all over the city, pulling on the bells until his arms ache. His father buys him herbal medicines, berries for vivacity and roots to anchor him to the earth, while his mother takes him around to all sorts of funny holistic healing gurus.
When all else fails, he clings to substance with sheer force of will. He wills himself into solidity every morning, with all the obstinacy he can muster -- only to feel himself fading and blurring again when dusk falls. He's even tried keeping the lights on at night, emulating daytime, but staying up all night just leaves him more hazy the next day, and too tired to hold himself together into the bargain.
Fujigaya kisses Tamamori the day after that particular experiment, because he's always wanted to kiss Tamamori and it seems a pity to just let himself fade away without ever having done so. He corners Tamamori in the jimusho hallway after practice. Tamamori is surprised but complacent, and kisses him back after just a moment. Tamamori is a surprisingly good kisser, and Fujigaya goes home feeling more steady that he's done in days. Unfortunately, he's back to the usual again in the morning.
When Fujigaya kisses Yokoo, it's tinged with despair on his side and sadness on Yokoo's.
"Can you even see my fingertips?" he asks, wiggling the appendages in question, and Yokoo has to look away before nodding yes. "Don't lie to me Wataru," says Fujigaya, "not you, of all people." There's a bit more of this kind of waffling back and forth before Fujigaya gets heart-sick of it all and simply pulls Yokoo against himself and presses their lips together.
The kiss is gentle and sweet, despite its sad undertones, and Fujigaya feels stronger for days afterwards, buoyed by the feeling of being so cherished. But Yokoo's eyes had been moist when they pulled away, and his expression bleak, and so Fujigaya doesn't try to kiss Yokoo again because he didn't think he can handle the sadness he'd seen in Yokoo's eyes afterwards.
Kissing Kitayama is more of an accident than anything else. Fujigaya is taking a long shower (they're the one thing that feels better now, because the warmth can really get inside him thanks to his new lack of substance) after work, and Kitayama's staying behind to memorize some script, and they walk smack into each others' arms in the doorway of their dressing room as though they're in the drama scene Kitayama was just going over. The exception is that Fujigaya's lips are smushed awkwardly against the tip of Kitayama's nose instead of his lips.[1]
"You should've just said, if you wanted to kiss me so badly." Kitayama pulls back after a surprised moment of this awkward nose-mouth squish, laughing.
It's just bluster to cover up his own embarrassment, Fujigaya knows this without question, but he's never been able to back down from a challenge when it comes to Kitayama. So he really does lean over and kiss him. True to form, the kiss is charged with competition, like Kitayama is placing a bet on his lips for how long he has left.
Fujigaya is provoked enough by the kiss that he can see his fingertips again for a week afterwards. His family rejoices and Yokoo is happy enough that he actually dares to look amused, but Fujigaya's disgruntled expression is only more obvious thanks to his new levels of opacity.
