I've had four short stories accepted for two anthologies, and three of them have characters of colour in them:

one 5k word story in which the protagonist is mixed race with a white British mother (who brought her up) and a father of South Asian descent;

one 1,000 word flashfic with a black British secondary character (a companion piece to a longer story that I hope will be published next year;

one piece of flashfic erotica in which an artist of unspecified race paints on her (black British) muse's skin with white chocolate mixed with food colouring (I'm told painting directly onto people and horses for educational or otherwise artistic reasons is far more of a UK thing than a US thing).

My current WiP novella is set in the Yorkshire Dales and is very white, although the hardware store is run by a Turkish family.

Both my fully-drafted novels are on hold: one while I research the backstory in conjunction with a historian, and the other because I'm short of time right now to give it the attention it deserves.
