Today Columbia smells like maple syrup. Doesn't matter where in town you go. It's weird and sort of awesome at the same time. Except now I'm hungry and I want pancakes.

It's also cold and rainy. I think fall has finally decided to show up.

We're doing well. Last week sucked but on the bright side we got to spend some time with family we hardly ever get to see. I just wish the circumstances were different.

I went from the news station past AC to pick up my niece and nephew and all the way out to Prathersville exit to drop off my nephew at daycare and it smelled like syrup the whole time. It's driving me crazy trying to figure out where it's coming from.

I've never tasted maple syrup so I don't know how it smells, but it sounds cosy ^^

It smells... very sugary, lol. Not sure how to describe it.

I'm so ready for Halloween. The weather is finally starting to feel like fall.

I'm just not sure we'll be celebrating halloween :( and my hostmum will be in the hospital so I don't even know where I'm gonna live :S

3) *which kinda correlates w/two* It's cold and rainy today here, too. It poured buckets on the way to school. And, now I'm kinda in the mood to curl up and nap on the couch with some peppermint tea and watch semi-scary movies or old Halloween cartoons. (Like Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin)

Chocolate chips pancakes need whipped cream. Preferably in the shape of a smiley face with cherry eyes. :D

The rain washed all the maple syrup smell away. It's okay though because now it's the prefect weather for hot chocolate before bed and chili and cinnamon rolls for dinner. Mmmm... I LOVE this time of year.

Hmm, yes, chocolate chip pancakes w/whip cream are very tasty. But leave the cherries off - don't need no healthy stuff on my pancakes 0=)

Hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls sound divine, too. (Makes me think of New Orleans, getting hot chocolate and beneniots (sp??) from Cafe du Monde)

I had waffles last night. They were cinnamon and all we had was blueberry syrup. It was an interesting combination.
