I wrote this poem in late 2005, during a lunch break at work. The world felt windless then - I was in Sales, working our kiosk and bored beyond belief; I was newly married and struggling to cope with a bevy of losses. I am completely poetry-disabled and am in awe (in small letters) of anyone who has the english language at their fingertips so readily and adroitly.

So, is the new job any better, or are you wishing for the good old days of boring kiosks? We often find ourselves trapped between the devil and the deep blue sea, don't we?
I've said it a kazillion times--should probably just have it on the old clipboard--and I don't want to sound fawning nor redundant, but I always stop everything when I see you've posted (even though the notice hasn't shown up on my yahoo; found this surfing) and I've never been disappointed. I hope this little tip-toe across the keyboard is enough to spark the muse and get that little petulant wench working again....Kerry

The new job is better now. I definitely do not miss the days of kiosks and retail stores - despised that whole gig. I do, however, miss the position I held before this one: managing the Georgia market. I enjoyed shuttling between stores and working with the salespeople. Was a joy, but this new position is allowing me to develope a different skillset, which is always a good thing.
Hopefully, as I settle in, I'll get a chance to write a bit more.
Thanks again.
