I don't know why it took so long -- I had this idea last summer and now it is February -- but here it is, we had a first rehearsal of our new Balkan women's choir. It was so great! And I'm riding high and celebrating that this is off and rolling, and, well, I picked some great voices, and this is not going to suck at all

I had a tough patch in highschool trying to sort that one out...

If you're not going to change the world, what's the point?

I realized I didn't have the patience of Dhali Lama, the fire of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., the compassion of Mother Theresa, or...

I chose to try and live the best I could all the time - taking my faults when I found them as something to improve upon or occasionally just accept, but not letting them be things that invalidated the rest of my life.

When's your first performance? I'll buy a ticket. :)

Ha! Our first performance, if we manage to pull it off, may be free -- at Northwest Folklife Festival. That's the goal! But no guarantees yet... it's a lofty goal, to get us ready to perform by then. Still, we're gonna try for it... stay tuned! (Pun?)
