Was that Tshewang Dendup by any chance? If so, I had coffee with him a decade ago (not that he'd remember me, except that we're friends on Facebook, so maybe he does). His movies are excellent and relatively easy to get in the west. He's also the star of a book by a Canadian woman and did a journalism degree in the US (Berkeley, I think). If it was someone else, ignore all this. :)

Ah, yes, the cognitive dissonance of driving around Bhutan listening to rap. In my case, the first CD my friend popped in started with a man and woman respectively singing to each other, "It's getting hot in here / So take off all your clothes", "I am / Getting so hot / I want to take my clothes off." (But my friend wasn't a rinpoche, so I'm guessing it was even more dissonant in your case.)

Stay safe, healthy, clean, and not too over-chilied! And get some down clothing when next you're in Thimphu, if you haven't already.
