=o that's a very interesting take on pregnancy in the future! (also a little scary, with how detached the parents might be with their kids =\)

I'm responding to a BF prompt that was "Great Britain in 2067." For the longest, I couldn't come up with anything but I'm really trying harder to write whether or not it "comes easy" (because I just end up giving up all the time. I'm in a slump ( ... )

=O those are very interesting articles, thanks for sharing them! I can see how the science in your story works now. =p The kibbutz is a little disturbing though, and vaguely reminds me of Brave New World. =o

I'm in a slump of sorts too, so you aren't alone there!

good luck!! =p

This is a scary concept! Argh! And also very creative on your part. I have to hand it to you; you have made it sound like a viable option in the not-so-distant future. Well done for a chilling look at the possible new wave of the future!

My my! That is terrific! From the first moments - 'Mummy what's wrong with...' it wakes you up and makes you - tingle? And then her concern to be such a loving natural mother, and - oh heeelllp those awful experts and know-it-alls - they frightened me to death. It really is SUCH a poignant piece, with what is going on today let alone in Tomorrow's times. Yuck, not for me those!

Could you just be a darling and sort the typos out when she reaches the restaurant, a couple in there, And then it will be a perfect piece. and a scary thought-provoking piece. Really rather too good - ooooerrr. Gosh. I hope she delivers herself safely and feeds Katie, and can look into her little blind blue eyes... they are so beautiful then.... Thanks so much!

Oh forgot to say I'm the Roarer for today! don't need to do I!!??? loves.

Definitely a believable "possible future". Even a few decades back I felt like I was "bucking the system" with my insistence on natural childbirth, no circumcisions, and breast milk with no "helpful" formula supplementing.
I like too, the other women's overriding concern with "experts" and the impact pregnancy has on their appearance.
Good job!

It amazes me how much parents are...criticized for making their own choices these days and how much the government and "experts" try to almost force people to parent a certain way already..

I can imagine a time when government, etc, tries to make even more of our decisions for us, all "for our own good" of course.

I tried natural childbirth with a doula but it didn't work with my first 10lb 2 oz baby. However, I support the right of people to make their own parenting choices and I do believe that (if/when you can) a large amount of personal care by you for your child is helpful (and I know not everyone can spend hours and hours with their kid each day. Kids survive and thrive raised many ways. But I do try, even with all our hours apart, to stay "involved" with my kids. To some extent, parenting should be very intentional. Too easy to watch them grow up and think, "Man, I meant to..")
