Title: “Shattered”

Here and there
Between grey rocks and pebbles
Hide smooth colors of the past

Washed ashore
Like scales scattered
By a well-traveled leviathan.

Waves caress away the sharpness
Of the shattered and broken,
Never again to cause pain.

Many search.
What can never be whole
Is treasured in their hands.

Broken pieces
Reshaped into jewelry

Little pearly treasures of broken glass, collected with little fingers... oh thank you for reminding me. And can no longer pain - I never knew broken glass did, it was just words that hurt. (and strangely enough, still do, but that is for their beauty.) Thank you...Blue.

I've never found sea glass on my own but I treasure some pieces a friend gave me.

Thank you for reminding me of the hope. It's always interesting to read what other people see within something I have written.
