He looked at the woman holding the tea cup and then the man facing them. After a moment his eyes moved to Bobby's face, taking in the uncertainty there. They were supposed to love their son unconditionally.
He sneered a little at them, rolling his eyes when the woman asked if he'd tried not to be a mutant. Where was the acceptance and love he saw in those photos in the hall?
St. John was glad he didn't have parents. Two less people to disappoint with who he actually was. And for once, he wished Bobby didn't have them either.
