Summary : When a forbidden love is sparked, two girls run away from their doomed death, with the grim reaper right on their trails.
Following the other girl, Demi sat next to her, looking out the window before nuzzling into the other girl. ‘We’ll make new lives out of ourselves...we’ll be new people...better people...’ Demi mumbled, kissing Selena’s neck once again before turning to watch people choose their seats.
‘Better people? Demi, you’ve been so good to me,’ Selena said, turning her head to watch the other girl before lifting her chin towards her. ‘I like you how you are.’
Demi looked at Selena, biting her lip and sniffling a little. ‘I hurt people, Selena...I helped kill them...Every day someone dies in that hospital it’s my father and me...’ Demi whispered, shaking her head to pull her chin away from Selena’s hands.
‘But they were already dying,’ Selena said, taking a hold of Demi’s hands and bringing them to her lips to kiss them.
‘They should’ve died in peace...not in terror by my father...’ Demi whispered, still looking away from Selena even as she felt the kiss on her knuckles.
‘Demi, they died because of your father. Because he forced you to do it,’ Selena mumbled before looking out of the window as the plane started moving. ‘Let’s just not talk about anything else but happy stuff from now on.’
Demi nodded silently, pulling her legs up to hold against her chest as she stared at the floor emotionless.
As soon as Selena noticed, she wrapped an arm around the girl and held her close as she pressed a kiss to her hair. ‘Shh.’
Demi closed her eyes as soon as she was pressed into Selena’s body, loving the instant comfort she was getting. It wasn’t long until she let sleep claim her as a hand clung onto Selena’s shirt, holding her close.
Selena allowed Demi to sleep against her body, not caring that she wasn’t quite in a comfortable position herself. Her hand trailed op and down the other’s arm as her breathing slowly became ragged.
Demi awoke with a jolt and she pulled away from her vampire pillow, frowning as she looked to her. ‘Selena, are you ok?’ Demi whispered before standing them both up, Demi tugged to where the arrows said the bathroom was and locked both of them in there. ‘Blood?’ Demi asked softly, tugging her shirt off.
‘N-No, I’m just h-hyperv-ventilating,’ Selena answered, refusing to drink more blood from the person she loved, even though she knew she really needed it.
Demi scowled at Selena, shaking her head before pulling Selena’s to lock it near her neck. ‘Drink, damn it. I can’t lose you.’
Selena quickly lowered her fangs to gently push them in Demi’s neck, her eyes closing as she silently drank her blood and her breathing got steady again.
Demi moaned softly, arching into Selena, clenching her jaw and baring her teeth. Her fingers went to the girl’s back, her nails sinking into the clothing.
When Selena felt like she had enough, she pulled back, kissing the wound better before grinning at Demi. ‘You totally like it when I drink of you.’
Demi flushed at Selena’s words, pulling away from her and rolling her neck with her shoulders.’Do not.’ She defended.
‘Do too. That was definitely a moan, missy,’ Selena laughed, licking her lips clean before taking Demi’s shirt and handing it to her.
Demi blushed softly, waving away Selena’s teasing. ‘Was not!’
‘Come on, it’s totally fine,’ Selena smiled, walking over to Demi to wrap her arms around her waist before bringing her lips to her neck to kiss it softly, letting her fangs graze the skin.
Demi groaned at Selena’s playful kisses, her back arching and her head tilting a little. ‘O-okay...maybe just a little bit....’ Demi groaned out, clinging onto Selena.
Selena pulled back and her smile fell a little as she saw how pale Demi looked. Bringing her hand up to cup the girl’s cheek, she brushed her thumb over the apple before whispering, ‘You need blood too, don’t you?’
Demi shrugged a little, shaking her head. ‘I-I’m fine...’
‘Demi, you’re not fine..’ Selena answered, pulling her shirt over her head before exposing her neck. ‘Please, baby, just drink.’
Demi shook her head once again, her eyes scoping down Selena’s exposed body hungrily before locking eyes. ‘I can wait.’
‘No, you can’t, you look pale as hell,’ Selena replied, stepping closer to Demi before sneaking her arms around the girl’s waist. ‘Do it, it’s okay.’
‘Selena.’ Demi whispered, shaking her head as her chin rested on the girl’s naked shoulder. ‘I don’t want to hurt you....I can’t.’
‘I’m a full vampire now, you won’t hurt me,’ the younger vampire whispered back, holding Demi close. ‘Please, I don’t want you to die.’
Demi’s breath soon became heavy and she clung onto Selena, her nails sinking into the girl’s skin. Without warning, she quickly bared her fangs, biting down away from the pulse point and drinking, holding Selena close.
Selena closed her eyes instantly, biting back a groan of pain as Demi’s fangs pierced through her skin for the first time, yet it became bearable as soon as she started drinking and that’s when a small moan escaped her lips.
Pulling back after a few moments, Demi kissed the wound ever so softly, releasing a soft breath. ‘You like it too.’ She said after a minute of licking her lips.
‘And I won’t deny that,’ Selena grinned, trailing her finger over her healed wound before tugging her shirt back on. ‘Ready to go back?’
Demi nodded slowly, moving to pull her shirt on quickly before nodding. ‘Yeah.’ She flushed, moving out of the bathroom and walking back to their seats, Demi taking Selena’s.
Selena quickly pulled her fangs in, moving to sit next to Demi before gasping. Motioning to her own mouth, she silently tried to tell Demi her fangs were still showing just as a stewardess passed them and stopped to stare at Demi.
Demi quickly turned back to the window, not letting the lady see her mouth and quickly drew back her fangs before flashing the woman a smile. ‘Yes?’
‘N-no, no, you totally had to long front teeth!’ The lady answered quietly so they were the only one to hear before pointing to Demi’s mouth. Selena quickly turned her head to Demi as she put up a fearful face.
‘What?’ Demi tilted her head, moving her thumbs to touch her teeth, frowning. ‘No...their all the same length...you must be seeing something.’ Demi smiled brightly.
‘I know what I saw!’ The older woman exclaimed, pointing to Demi furiously before quickly running away to the back of the plane, scared to pass the two of them again.
‘What are we gonna do now?’ Selena asked, fear ruling her voice as her eyes locked with Demi’s.
Demi shrugged at Selena. ‘It doesn’t matter, we’ll never see her again after we get off the plane.’ Demi mumbled before frowning. ‘We’ll have to be more careful, though...’
Feeling the plane starting to descend, Selena quickly buckled up her seatbelt before glancing to the back, noticing the woman was staring at them. She sighed before looking back at Demi, waiting for the plane to touch the ground.
Demi ignored the woman and the seatbelt, waiting for the plane to stop. Once it did, Demi turned to Selena and tilted her head. ‘You’re indestructable unless it’s fire, why are you using a seatbelt?’ Demi giggled, poking the girl’s side.
‘Because that’s what normal people do,’ Selena commented, waiting for everyone to get off the plane so they wouldn’t have to go along with all the chaos.
‘Oh.’ Demi mumbled, flushing at her own innocence before watching the people along with Selena.
After most of the people had left, Selena stood up to follow them, yet her path was blocked by the same woman as before. ‘What are you?’
Demi scowled at the woman before pushing Selena back into her seat and turning to look at the woman. ‘Ma’am, you’re blocking our path. We’d like to get off now...’
‘And I would like to know what you are because I swear to God I saw two fangs in your mouth,’ The lady firmly answered, yet took a step back before crossing her arms.
Demi frowned at the lady. ‘I told you, you were seeing things. Come on, dear.’ Demi said, not wanting to use the girls name incase the woman would pass it on to people. Taking Selena’s hand, she moved to walk to the exit.
Selena got up to follow Demi, yet the lady took a hold of Demi’s upper arm. ‘I am not. Seeing. Things.’
‘Let go of me. Now.’ Demi hissed, her pupils becoming dialated as she stared at the woman, her gaze cold and dark.
Selena’s anger got the better of her as her eyes unknowingly turned in an orangish color as she stared into the woman’s eyes, who backed away as she saw it. ‘You’re no humans!’ she exclaimed, causing Selena to step closer, not understanding how she suddenly knew that.
Demi scowled at Selena, tugging her back and standing in front of her. ‘Calm down!’ She growled to Selena, then turning to the woman and sighing. ‘Fine, we’re not. Happy? Now let us go.’
Selena raised her eyebrow at Demi, not knowing what was going on before she heard the woman speak. ‘No, not until you tell me what you are.’ With that, she locked the plane’s door.
Demi glared at the woman before dropping her fangs and baring them at the woman. ‘Vampires, but I swear to god we’re the good kind.’
‘Totally,’ Selena smiled, yet her eyes didn’t turn back to brown yet because she was still furious at the woman for making them tell.
‘V-Vampires?’ The woman gasped, quickly opening the door and dashing behind some seats before looking at them with wide eyes.
Demi sighed, pulling her fangs in before turning to Selena. ‘Calm down, love. Your eyes are orange...and we can’t leave until you’re calm.’ Demi murmured, kissing her lips before walking back to the woman and crouching besides her. ‘You won’t tell...will you? We’re in trouble and we’re trying to get away, please if you tell we’ll die...’
‘My eyes are orange?!’ Selena exclaimed loudly, taking deep breaths to try and calm herself down.
‘D-Do you b-bite?’ the woman asked fearfully, her nails digging into the seat.
‘No...’ Demi smiled, holding out a hand. ‘We live off of each other’s blood, we like humans....’ She smiled again, knowing that her smiles always calmed people.
The woman nodded, taking Demi’s hand and smiling back. ‘I won’t tell anyone.. They won’t believe me anyways.’
Demi helped the woman up, rubbing her back a little before nodding and smiling. ‘Thank you, it means alot.’ She nodded before walking to Selena and looking into her eyes. ‘Just don’t look up, ok?’ Demi murmured, kissing the top of Selena’s head before tugging her towards the exit.
Selena nodded, keeping her eyes on the ground, yet leading Demi towards their baggage claim as she still tried to get calm. ‘I think I’m calm... Are they brown again?’
Looking into the girls eyes, Demi nodded happily. ‘Yeah, you’re all good.’
‘Phew, what happened back there?’ Selena questioned, more to herself than to Demi before finding her bag and pulling it next to her.
‘Everyone handles anger different. Daddy can’t pull his fangs in when he gets angry. I don’t know about myself.’ Demi mumbled, shrugging a little before grabbing her back pack and nodding to Selena. ‘Can we get a car and drive to the next city? I want to be in a small community.’
‘We can drive to my friend’s house. I’ve lived here for about a year before moving to America so I still know where she lives and she won’t be home this week because she’s away from work,’ Selena explained, walking towards the exit before crossing the street. ‘It’s still night. You think we can get a car without being noticed? I mean, we are vampires...’
Demi nodded to Selena, taking her hand and tugging her to the exit. ‘It doesn’t matter, we’ll leave it somewhere random and then walk to your friends house.’ Demi murmured, looking for a car in the parking lot.
‘How about a convertable of which the driver stupidly forgot to put the hood up?’ Selena grinned, turning Demi to the beautiful silver convertable.
Demi giggled and nodded, hopping into the passanger seat and sighing softly. ‘It feels good to get away....’
‘Yeah, it does,’ Selena smiled, jumping into the driver’s seat before looking down at the metal. She raised her eyebrow and chuckled a little before using her fangs to bite through it to connect some wires to get it to start before she drove off. ‘The wind feels so good.’
Demi nodded slowly, but then sighed as she remembered something. ‘They’ll either get caught taking blood from the hospital or die thirsty...because I’m the only one who heals.’ Demi murmured sadly, shaking her head.
Demi nodded slowly, but then sighed as she remembered something. ‘They’ll either get caught taking blood from the hospital or die thirsty...because I’m the only one who can sense when death is comming or heal wounds...’ Demi murmured sadly, shaking her head.
‘If you want to go back, we can, I still have enough money for a flight back,’ Selena smiled, slowing the car down in case she wanted to go back to take care of the other vampires.
‘No.’ Demi mumbled, shaking her head again. ‘If we go back, we’ll surely die.’
Selena sighed, parking the car in some nearby grass before turning to Demi. ‘Not if I don’t come with you. I don’t want you to give up all the other vampires for me because it seems like you left a lot of them behind.’
‘Selena, to them, I am just the kings daughter who gets away with everything. None of them talked to me, none of them cared for me...their all animals in that rock kingdom...I don’t want to go back when I’ve finally found someone who cares for me...’
Selena smiled, tilting her head a little before leaning in to hug Demi. ‘And I do care about you. A lot,’ she whispered, bringing their lips together in a sweet kiss.
Demi held Selena close to her, nodding at her before kissing the girl back, pulling away to flash a smile. ‘And I care for you, Selena. I love you.’
‘And I l-l.. l-like you, a lot,’ Selena answered, not being able to say the ‘I love you’. She quickly turned on the street again, driving until they were only a few block’s away from her friend’s house.
Demi frowed at Selena, tilting her head as she bit her lip. ‘I-I thought you loved me too?’ Demi whispered, ducking her head to hide the tears in her eyes.
‘I do,’ Selena said reasuringly, parking the car behind a couple of houses before getting out and grabbing her back. ‘We should walk from here.’
‘Say it.’ Demi demanded, getting out and grabbing her back pack before moving to stand in front of the girl. ‘P-please say it...’
‘I-I can’t,’ Selena mumbled, brushing past the girl to start walking down the street.
Demi watched the girl walk before shaking her head and walking in the opposite way, brushing away her little tears.
Selena knew the girl wasn’t following so she halted in her tracks, not turning around as she yelled so the other could still hear her as the rain started to pour down. ‘The last time I said that... My heart got ripped out, stumped on and got stabbed with a knife more than once. When I say that particular line, everyone around me always leaves. When I don’t say it, people seem to leave too.’
Demi knew the girl wasn’t lying, but she stood there, shifting on her feet as she listened to the rain. ‘You know I would never hurt you, I left my family for you. And I do it again if I had to....but I only did it because you said you loved me...but you won’t know. Somethings changed...’ Demi called out, not turning around. ‘You used me.’
‘Nothing’s changed, Demi, I do... I-I do...’ Letting out a big sigh, Selena closed her eyes as the tears started falling down her cheeks. ‘I don’t even know how to say it properly anymore.’
‘Then say it!’ Demi yelled, wiping at her eyes, sniffling a little before she turned around and stared at Selena’s back. ‘Just tell me you love me....please...’
‘It’s hard for me!’ Selena yelled back, the rain mingling with her tears as she opened her eyes again, staring straight ahead. ‘Tell me you won’t leave.’
‘I’d never leave you!’ Demi whispered in the girl’s ear, having rushed to her and stand behind her. ‘Just tell me you love me...please...’
Selena let out a sob before taking a deep breath, trusting Demi on her words. ‘I do.. I-I do l-love you.’
Demi nodded before turning Selena around, pressing their wet bodies together and kissing her neck softly. ‘I love you, Selena and I’ll never leave you, honey...’
‘I love you,’ Selena whispered again, before finding her full voice, wanting to say it out loud as she held onto the girl tightly. ‘I love you Demi, I love you.’
Demi nodded before pulling her head back, crashing their lips together forcefully, pinning the girl to the car.
Selena kissed back with equel passion, groaning as her back hit the car. Clearly Demi didn’t know her own strenght, yet Selena didn’t mind as her hands went up to rest on the girl’s hips.
Demi held the girl close, opening her mouth for the girl to take as her hands moved to snake around Selena’s neck.
Selena wanted to slip her tongue in, God she really did, yet she pulled back and smiled at the girl as she rested their forheads together. ‘Being out here in the rain with you is the most romantic thing ever, but we have to get going because they’re probably already looking for the car.’
Demi flushed softly before nodding. Crouching down, she pulled Selena onto her back and walked in the dierection that Selena had been walking towards. ‘What’s the address?’
‘It’s just a couple streets further,’ Selena smiled, yet changed their positions so Demi was on her back. ‘But I know something better.’ With that she jumped on the roof of the nearest house, trying to balance her body as soon as she landed. ‘Wow, it takes a lot of body controle.’
‘I’ll have to teach you...although I haven’t mastered that yet either.’ Demi giggled into the other girl’s ear, nuzzling into her head. ‘I’m stronger, want me to take you among the roof tops?’
‘No, save your strenght,’ Selena smiled, jumping on the next roof before repeating the motion until they were safely on the ground in front of a big house and Selena was out of breath.
Demi watched Selena intently, climbing off of her back and tilting her head at the girl. ‘Are you ok?’ She asked worriedly, leaning into the girl and kissing her cheek, nose and eyebrow.
‘Yeah, it was just harder than I thought,’ Selena mumbled, pushing the door open with a loud crack before moving to the kitchen and resting her hands on the counter. ‘We’ll be safe here.’
‘You sure?’ Demi asked to both statements, moving behind the woman and wrapping her arms around her waist. ‘This is our first night together, love.’
‘Not sure about the first, but yes to the second,’ Selena said, coughing before turning into Demi’s arms. ‘Yes it is - ‘ That’s all that left her lips before her head fell against Demi’s shoulder, her breathing completely messed up with coughs.
‘Selena?!’ Demi asked worriedly, tugging her shirt off and holding the girl close. ‘Honey...drink...it’ll help...’
‘C-Can’t... fangs won’t... come..’ Selena breaths out, her knees buckling as she slowly slid to the floor.
Demi huffed softly before crouching in front of Selena, biting her own wrist and holding it in front of the girl. ‘Drink...’
Selena weakly drank some of Demi’s blood, swearing to herself she would never jump on rooftops in the rain again before darkness consumed her in a much needed sleep.
Demi watched Selena, nodding as the girl passed out. Sighing, she lifted her up, walking through the house to find a bedroom. Once she did, she set Selena down and kissed her forehead before snuggling up next to her. 'Good night love...'
