Title: Technicalities
Pairing: Eli (U-Kiss)/Key (SHINee)
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Key and Eli have a routine, Thunder's yoga class is no exception.
A/N: This references Eli and Key’s conversation on Raising Idol, which you can see towards the beginning of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH1YrV2yKL8. Watching that will help put this into context, but isn't entirely necessary. I feel like the only shipper of this pairing in the world, but I hope you give it a chance.

After the yoga class, Eli walked (or ran, really; anything to get away from the awkward tension and general physical discomfort of the class) towards the bathroom in the back of the building. After turning down a few hallways and opening some random doors, he realized maybe he should work on reading Korean so he could actually find a sign that would point him in the right direction. He was peeking around another corner, vaguely contemplating calling Dongho for help, when he was grabbed from behind and slammed into the wall of the hallway.

“What the-” he stopped when he saw who stood in front of him. He looked up and down the boy, noticing his sweater sleeves were rolled up and his left shoe was dangerously close to coming untied, before staring into his eyes, noticing the amusement reflected in them.

“‘Hyung’, huh?” The boy started. “Didn’t know you wanted to play like that. We can pretend I’m older if that’s what you’re into.”

“Shut up,” Eli snapped, but his bite was lost because of the smile he wore. “Would you rather I called you Key-oppa? Like your fangirls?”
Key smirked and ducked his head down a bit, looking up at Eli through his lashes. “You can call me whatever you want, baby.”

“You disgust me,” Eli fake-gagged and pushed at Key’s shoulder. Key ignored him and moved directly into his space, pressing his whole body against Eli’s.

“You’re such a bad liar,” Key replied.

“Well, I tried. You could at least humor me. Have some respect for your elders.”

“Respect?” Key scoffed. “I’ll show you re-“

Eli was already sick of hearing him talk (he got enough of it from Alexander and Kevin every damn day) and decided to stop him the best way he knew how; by grabbing his head and pressing their mouths together. Key, for all his fake bravado and egoism, melted immediately in his hands, mouth opening easily for Eli. Eli kept one hand at Key’s neck, the other came to rest on Key’s hip. Key wrapped his arms around Eli’s neck before breaking the kiss.

“Unfair,” Key huffed.

“I don’t care,” Eli sing-songed and this time Key took the initiative, pressing himself even closer to Eli (if that was possible) and attaching their mouths again.

In the back of his mind, Eli thought that maybe what they were doing, what they did, was a little weird. Ever since the first time they met, there was a weird tension between the two. It only took about 10 minutes of awkward small talk and “Stop calling me hyung!” “It’s a habit, sorry!” before they couldn’t take it anymore and Key all but dragged Eli into the nearest supply closet to make out. Eli was a little weirded out (he didn’t usually kiss boys, contrary to what some might think) but he enjoyed it enough to let it happen, and even took control of the kiss.

Eventually their members started looking for them and it took Kiseop loudly declaring, “I think they went this way. Yeah, definitely this way. Really far away from this closet.” before they guiltily pulled away. They straightened their clothes and stared awkwardly at each other for a few moments before bursting out laughing, the tension immediately dissipating, and they exited the closet. As expected, Kiseop was waiting outside, smiling at the two of them and putting his finger to his lips in a “shh” gesture. Key didn’t waste any time getting back to his members, not even looking back as he went to find them. Eli was confused as hell, but figured it was one of those weird one-time things and forgot about it.

But then U-Kiss and Shinee were both on some show some time after that first meeting, and Key had sought out Eli within minutes of him arriving. Eli, of course, didn’t refuse and it quickly became a regular occurrence. Whenever the two were in the same place, they snuck in a make-out session. Nothing big, just kissing and maybe some groping, but it was enough to calm them down and ease their own inner struggles. So when Eli went with Dongho to Thunder-hyung’s yoga class, and saw Key sitting delicately on that sofa, he knew exactly what would be happening later.

Key’s thigh slipped in between Eli’s, pressing forward, and Eli snapped back to reality. Key broke the kiss again and nuzzled into his neck.
“Stop thinking so loud,” he whined. “Unless it’s sexy thoughts about me. Then think as much as you want.” Key licked at his neck and bit lightly. “Actually don’t think; do.”

Eli chuckled lowly, the sound vibrating through his chest and through Key. He titled his head to the side slightly, allowing Key better access to his neck. Key nipped at his earlobe before pulling back to look into Eli’s eyes.

“How much longer do you think we have?”

“Not much, I was already lost for about 5 minutes before you found me,” Eli responded, finally focusing on the hallway they were in, glancing around. He vaguely thought he saw a figure all the way at the other end but when he blinked it disappeared. “Dongho’s probably already called the police.”

Key giggled, quite girlishly Eli might add, and said, “He’s a good kid.”

Eli smiled and nodded. “He is.”

As if on cue, his phone started ringing loudly from his pocket, SNSD’s “Gee” blasting at an ungodly level. Key burst out laughing before pulling away, allowing Eli to get his phone.

“Shut up,” he snapped before answering the phone. Key vaguely listened to the one side of the conversation, Eli saying, “I got lost… Yes, Dongho… No, Dongho… Yah! Have some respect-” Key snorted at this and Eli glared. “I’ll be there ASAP… It means, ‘as soon as possible’… Yes, it’s an American thing… Ugh, bratty child. I’ll see you soon. Bye.”

Key closed in again once he finally hung up, pressing against him like he was before. “You got to go then?”

“Yeah, sorry. You know how it is, gotta get the magnae to his next schedule.” Eli pressed his forehead against Key’s shoulder, breathing deeply and taking in the calmness while he could.

“I’m glad it’s not like that with Taemin,” Key said, just to have something to say. “C’mon, you have to go.”

Key pulled back and smiled slightly at Eli’s quiet whine. He half-expected him to go “But why!?” and throw a tantrum. But Eli surprised him, he was always surprising him, and instead he straightened up and fixed his clothes. He gave Key a peck on the cheek and a silly wave before turning down the hallway he had been eyeing before. Key smiled after him, feeling his own phone start buzzing in his pocket.

When Eli finally caught up with Dongho, the young boy just smiled mischievously at him and pulled him into their car. Eli was used to Dongho scheming and ignored him, even as the boy was shooting him secretive smiles while they set off down the highway. Dongho fidgeted and shifted in his seat before he became unable to hold it in anymore and asked, “So Key-hyung, huh?”

Eli immediately froze and Dongho cackled, knowing he had caught him.

For the next week, Dongho made every possible joke about keys he could, much to the confusion of the other members.
