People on tumblr were telling me to write certain pairings or characters, so I produced these~ Enjoy~
{carousels in the sky, that we shape with our eyes} | sooliEli has always really liked Soohyun and even when Eli was awkward and American and didn’t fit in, he thinks him and Soohyun got along well. The two of them understand each other well, having had similar life experiences. They both enjoy going to the gym together, getting food together, watching movies together and so on. Soohyun is a great singer and Eli is always getting tips from him and, alternatively, Eli helps Soohyun learn English and even raps with him sometimes.
Soohyun is cuddly, of course, which was hard to adjust to at first. Eli couldn’t understand why Soohyun would act like that, with not only him but the other members or his own friends, but has learned to become used to it. Soohyun has other quirks, as does Eli, and even if they are strikingly different at times, they make it work.
Thus, Eli guesses, the path of their relationship was bound to take this turn eventually. It’s not that Eli thought of himself as gay-maybe bicurious, at the most-but he didn’t regard Soohyun in the same way as other guys. Soohyun was different, special, able to cheer him up and make him laugh no matter the circumstances. So when Eli finds himself with sweaty palms and a pounding heart, all because Soohyun smiled and told him he improved in his singing, he knew what he was feeling.
Eli had been content to keep it to himself, assuming that Soohyun wouldn’t reciprocate and that he would get over it. Yet, the day before their comeback stage, everything changes. The boys had been dismissed from their practice studio, but Soohyun held Eli back and waited for the others to leave.
Soohyun’s hand is still gripping his bicep when they are finally alone and Eli glances at it, but makes no effort to move out of his hold. Soohyun smiles at him, maybe even a little like an adult smiles fondly at a child, and says, “I know.”
Eli blurts out defensively, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Soohyun laughs a little and repeats, “I know.” Then clears his throat and looks exceptionally more nervous than he had a minute ago. “And I… I feel the same.”
Eli’s eyes widen considerably, confirming what Soohyun had been wondering. “I,” he starts, but never finishes.
Soohyun brings his free arm up to take a hold of Eli’s chin, gentler than Eli expected, and brings their lips together. Eli smiles into the kiss and as he opens his mouth to let his tongue meet Soohyun’s, he realizes he might have the reconsider his previous stance of “bicurious at the most”.
{the baffled king composing hallelujah} | soohoonLately, Soohyun thinks of Hoon less as a person and more as a song. Hoon’s voice is ethereal, enchanting even when he is just speaking. Soohyun finds that every word that falls from the boy’s lips is accompanied by tinkling bells and the gentle strumming of a guitar.
There are times when Hoon is excited, or scared or lonely or worried, and he envelops Soohyun in a hug that is almost stifling with its warmth. Soohyun closes his eyes and enjoys the feeling, and in those moments, the matching beats of their heart provide the rhythm for the already beautiful sounds that play when Hoon speaks.
Backstage is the one time Soohyun loses all his leaderly composition and finds himself weakened with nerves and light-headedness. The responsibility and insecurities bear down on him with a crushing force and Soohyun is certain that, This is it. This is the time I crumble. But Hoon finds him, he always finds him, and when Hoon grasps Soohyun’s shaking hands in his own, Soohyun hears a piano joining the other instruments.
Yet none of the other songs compare to the one he hears when Hoon smiles. The younger boy will catch his eye across the stage or in the mirror of their practice room-or, sometimes, he’ll stand right in front of Soohyun and simply beam. And the moment Hoon’s eyes scrunch up and his mouth opens in a wide grin, in that exact moment, Soohyun hears an orchestra. The music rises and rises, builds into a crescendo so loud that he almost can’t hear Hoon say his name over the beautiful music and the blood rushing through his veins.
However once he hears his name, the music slows down again. It settles back into a calming tune, each instrument slowing falling away until all he can hear is the melodious tone of Hoon’s voice, nothing accompanying it, and he realizes that nothing could be as perfect as just Hoon.
{children behave, that's what they say when we're together} | hinted n.a.pRicky thinks the other members are keeping something from him. Actually, he’s sure of it. Things go normal most of the time (CAP sleeps anywhere he can find, Niel and Chunji have singing battles, Changjo learns dances from other groups and LJoe takes selcas and practices his English) but then sometimes, very rarely, things will get weird.
Like one time, when the boys had a concert and photoshoot in a city far away from where their dorm was. Their management decided to get them a hotel for the night, as it was easier than driving back and forth. They were told they would get two rooms, and once they decided the arrangements they would get the keys.
Niel and CAP chose each other first, which didn’t surprise Ricky, since they hung out together most of the time. Ricky was really looking forward to rooming with CAP because he noticed that what he taught Changjo made the maknae get muscles, and Ricky wanted muscles too.
But when he said that he would be the third person in their room, everyone looked at him funny and then smiled, patting him on the head. When it came time to actually go to sleep, Changjo dragged Ricky into the other hotel room and told him what bed he would sleep on. Ricky pouted, extremely confused, but went to sleep like he was told anyways. The next day, he realized Niel and CAP had a hotel room all to themselves (Which was so unfair, Niel wasn’t even the second oldest!). CAP was extra happy that day and Ricky almost wanted to investigate why, but then the leader bought him snacks and he forgot about it.
If it was just one incident, Ricky could ignore it. But all the time he finds himself smiled at and his head patted, and then dragged away from a bedroom or a dressing room or even a closet.
Ricky was annoyed. Just because he was young and cute doesn’t mean he should be treated like a toy! Ricky thinks the best thing to do would be to ignore the other boys who keep treating him badly. Then they’ll realize how mean they were being and stop. It’s a foolproof plan, really, and Ricky decides he’s a genius. Plus he doesn’t even have to ignore all the boys, since CAP and Niel never bother him like that. Actually, they seem to never be around when the other members start the head-patting…
