“Kill me.”
The words are breathed against his lips, leaving a smear of blood in their wake. The blood tastes metallic, salty, and Arthur can’t help but wish for more. He presses further forward; blood seeps between his teeth.
“Kill me.” Come the whispered words. No, there’s no way he’s losing this - he won’t risk never tasting this again. He raises his hands to skim against the length of chain, to glide across the manacles that have lifted wrists far above the point of comfort.
“Kill me.” Merlin begs. But Arthur simply shakes his head.
“No.” He says, “You're mine.”
