After seeing The Wicker Man, a 1973 film, I've been casually looking for the book it was based on, Ritual by David Pinner (by casual, I mean whenever I happen to walk into a used bookstore, and not obsessively hunting down leads online, like I should have). Try alibris.com too, they are another rare books dealer on-line. Still pricey, but a bit less than 750.

I would also talk to the public library or a college library that lends to the public and see if they can look it up on any inter-system library loan programs they have, I'll bet some library somewhere has it.

I didn't think of trying the interlibrary loans! From what I remember, the public libraries (here) don't really affiliate with it much, but I'll try to apply online. Not sure if they carry UK books? We'll see.
