Song Prompt: Fairy Tale by Sara Bareilles
Word Count: 412
Pairing: Harry/Ginny, Harry/Draco

Ginny Weasley had spent her entire young life in love with Harry Potter. She’d heard his name ever since she was born-- The-Boy-Who-Lived, the one who vanquished the Dark Lord. Harry Potter was the God of the wizarding world. He was absolutely perfect in every way. Her brief glimpse of him at Platform 9 ¾ when she was ten years old was enough to cultivate a type of obsessive love that flourished when she finally came to Hogwarts.

Year after year, Harry defeated evil. He was still perfect to her. She blithely ignored his faults-such as his temper ad recklessness. Ginny loved him. He was her own personal Prince Charming.

She never noticed the way he obsessed over Draco Malfoy. He was kissing her and he wanted her. Draco Malfoy wasn’t even a blip of her radar.

Years after the final battle, years after Hogwarts, his flaws became more apparent. His temper burned hotter with each unhappy year and even though he never hurt her or their children, his anger always scorched her. He was disinterested in her as well-they’d stopped having sex after Lily was born and it seemed like Harry didn’t even notice.

Ginny wasn’t sure what had happened to her fairy tale. Her Prince Charming had turned out to be a very normal human being and the magic had fizzled. She had three children and a husband she no longer knew. At 27 years old, Ginny was afraid to start over. Then she saw them.

One bleak day she decided to surprise Harry at his office at the Ministry. She opened the door and peeked inside-only to gasp and slap a hand over her mouth. Harry was not alone in his office. Draco Malfoy was straddling Harry’s lap and their mouths was fused. Desperate hands grappled with their clothes and soft moans met her ears. With tears brimming in her eyes, Ginny gently pulled the door closed once again. She waited a moment to see if they had noticed her but the minutes passed, only punctuated by stifled groans. A soft cry of despair wrenched from her throat and she sank back against the wall until she slid to the floor.

Ginny Weasley had loved Harry Potter her whole life. Now it seemed like it was time to mend her story and stop being the damsel in distress. She didn’t need a Prince Charming anymore. She needed a better happy ending-and Harry had already found his.

Song Prompt: I Touch Myself by The Divinals
Word Count: 228
Pairing: Harry/Draco

Draco looked down at his tented trousers angrily. He felt betrayed by his body as it responded to the proximity of Potter. The two of them had been arguing quite spectacularly when Potter had stepped into his personal space. The effect had been instantaneous. Draco felt all of the blood in his body rush southward and his trousers were suddenly too tight. For a moment everything had frozen-then Potter spat one more insult and strode away.

Draco stood stock still until Potter was out of sight-- then he rushed into the nearest lavatory. He locked the door behind him, looked under all of the stalls to check for witnesses, the dropped his pants without ceremony,

His erection was hot and heavy in his hand and he gasped with her stroked it from base to tip. Draco set a brutal pace, desperately ignoring the image of Potter in his mind. He could remember his flushed face, sparkling eyes and heaving chest.

“Fuck.” Draco swore as he felt heat building at the base of his spine.

Draco was so fucked. He could not afford to be attracted to Potter.

Potter with his green eyes and natural grace on a broomstick.

His ability to save the world.

Draco bit his lip to hold back his groan as his orgasm rushed over him.

“Potter…” He whispered weakly.

He was so fucked.

Song Prompt: If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself A Bad Boy) by The Backstreet Boys
Word Count: 487
Pairing: Harry/Ginny, Draco/Ginny

Ginny rolled her eyes dramatically as Harry doused the lights. He was so predictable, so old fashioned in his ideas about sex. He always turned the lights out, he always pressed her gently against the bed and he ALWAYS stuck to missionary position. Ginny moaned automatically as his calloused hands groped at her breast then fumbled down her stomach to lightly grasp her hips. He muttered a sheath charm then thrusted inside of her.

Ginny resisted the urge to roll her eyes again. She did sigh gustily though and Harry took it as appreciation. Ginny wanted to enjoy it. She wanted to NEED Harry. She was going to marry him after all. She wasn’t stupid. The naïve boy loved her and she wasn’t going to pass on The-Boy-Who-Lived. She had resigned herself to bad, clumsy sex for the rest of her life. Maybe she’d have an affair or two but she’d decided to be mostly devoted to her famous husband.

Speaking of affairs-Ginny cast her mind back to the last run-in with Draco Malfoy. He’d passed her in the hallway and after one burning glance, turned around and slammed her against the wall. Ginny’s head had bumped sharply against the stones but the pain fled her when Malfoy’s hand slipped under her skirt. He chuckled lowly when he felt that she was already wet from being thrown against the wall. Suddenly Malfoy flipped her around and held her tight against the wall. The force caused her clothed breasts to brush and press against the rough stones and she moaned softly. Malfoy shoved her panties to the side and grabbed her hand.

“Hold yourself open for me, Weasley.” Draco growled.

Ginny grasped her damp panties and spread her legs wider. She heard Draco unbuckle his belt and pop the zip on his trousers. A brush of air against the back of her neck was all the warning she received before he thrusted into her.

Ginny wailed and pressed back against each thrust. Malfoy reached up and grabbed her ponytail and yanked it-forcing her head back and exposing her neck to his teeth. Ginny had to brace both of her hands against the wall as his thrusts became rougher, his body slamming into hers. She could feel her orgasm building and she cried out when Draco’s thrusts hit her g-spot. Then it was over and she was convulsing, crying out as her release crested.

“Oh! Oh fuck!” Ginny gasped as she came, clutching Harry tight against her.

“Ginny…” Harry groaned in response as he spilled inside of her.

Then he rolled off her carefully then draped his arms around her.

“I love you, Gin.” Harry whispered sleepily.

“Love you too.” Ginny replied as she rolled over and closed her eyes.

She knew what the problem was-if she wanted good sex, she needed a bad boy. Harry was perfect to marry but Malfoy was perfect to fuck.

Song Prompt: Watch Over Me by Hanson
Word Count: 568
Pairing: Harry/Severus

It had started out as something Severus felt he had to do. His memory of Lily Evans had to be upheld and he had to protect her son. As time went on though, it became less of a chore and more of a habit. Every time he walked into a room his eyes scanned the room for messy hair and burning green eyes. It was his duty, he believed, to protect the boy from harming himself and others.

Severus took failure hard. He didn’t keep Harry’s name from being put into the Goblet of Fire. He didn’t keep Harry from running off to the Ministry and he did not keep Harry from watching Dumbledore die. All of the failure hurt Severus the most and he was relieved when the war was finally over. The fool boy had survived and Voldemort was dead. Severus no longer had to protect him, watch over him, save him from constant harm. It took several months for it to truly sink in-but finally Severus realized that without his appointed duty, he was at a loss.

It was this feeling of loss and confusion that allowed him to finally give his resignation to Minerva. The war was fought, Albus was dead and Severus found no reason for him to be at Hogwarts anymore. It was that night, while packing, that he was startled out of his reverie by a knock at the door.

“Hullo Professor. Headmistress McGonagall told me that you’re retiring.” Harry blurted out in a rush as soon as the door opened.

“And what does that have to do with you at my door at this godforsaken hour?” Severus asked archly.

“I just wanted to thank you, for everything. For taking care of me and for helping me kill that bastard.” Harry grinned up at him and Severus felt his heart constrict in his chest. It was the first time he’d ever seen those wide green eyes without hatred clouding them

“You’re welcome Potter.” Severus murmured.

“Did you do it for my mum?” Harry cocked his head sideways and Severus ushered him into the room to discourage eavesdroppers.

“At first, yes I did. As the years went by, I did it because no matter how much you infuriate me, I didn’t want you to die. I wanted you to survive, kill the Dark Lord and move on with your life.” Severus answered softly.

Harry stared at the older man for a long moment, his eyes brows knitted together as if he were working out a very complicated arithimancy problem. Then his forehead cleared and he stepped closer to Severus and gently cupped his chin (though he had to stand on tip-toe to see eye to eye with the older man.)

“Thank you…Severus.” Harry whispered before pressing their mouths together.

The kiss was sweet and gentle with none of the urgency and recklessness that Severus normally attributed to the brash Gryffindor. But then, as soon as it had begun, it was over and Harry was backing out of the room.

“We’re both leaving Hogwarts, Severus. Maybe we’ll see each other out there.” Harry smiled one last time then he was gone.

Severus stared at the door way for a very long time, wondering if it had been a dream. Then he realized that no matter how much work Harry had been to keep alive, he was profoundly thankful he’d watched over him.

Song Prompt: I Drive Myself Crazy by Nsync
Word Count: 551
Pairing: Luna/Neville

Neville turned over in bed angrily. It was nearly three in the morning and Neville still hadn’t fallen asleep. It was all Ron’s fault he thought darkly. That evening at dinner, Neville had made an off-handed comment about being interested in Luna Lovegood. The only people listening to him had been Hermione, Ron and Harry so he wasn’t afraid of talking openly with them. Ron had guffawed loudly and asked why anyone would want to date Looney Lovegood-and that’s when Neville had snapped. He reminded them that they hadn’t been at Hogwarts last year and had no idea what it had been like. Neville hadn’t had very many people he trusted during that time and his two best friends had been Luna and Ginny.

Ron reacted predictably, his face went red and he argued that Neville had no business comparing Hogwarts to camping in the woods for months on end. The argument would have stretched on forever is Harry hadn’t have cleared his throat and glared at them both. Harry’s patience had a short fuse nowadays and both Neville and Ron were reluctant to provoke him further.

But now it was really late and Neville was very tired and all he wanted to do was sleep. With a heavy sigh he got out of bed and made his way out of the makeshift “8th year” dorm they were all staying in. He’d just exited the boys’ bedroom when he stopped dead in his tracks and stared at the couch in front of him.

Luna was lying on the couch in her pajama with a thick book propped up on her knees and a pair of funky reading glasses perched on her nose. She’d fallen asleep midway through the tome and it was obviously about to slip off of her lap. Neville rushed forward quietly and plucked the book from her lax grip and sat it gently aside. Luna stirred in her sleep and Neville held his breath. Blue eyes fluttered open and Luna peered at him over the top of her spectacles.

“Neville?” She whispered softly, her voice lacking its usual whimsical property.

“Yeah, it’s me. You fell asleep out here.” He whispered back, taking a seat beside her slippered feet.

“I couldn’t sleep anymore so I came down here to read. I’ve been having trouble sleeping since…” She trailed off for a moment then smiled gently at him. “I suspect it’s the nargles.”

“Yeah, nargles have been keeping me awake too.” Neville returned her smile with one of his own. He knew that neither of them was truly talking about nargles anymore.

“Do you know what helps keep nargles away, Neville Longbottom?” Luna asked suddenly, he voice once again sounding normal.

“No, what?”

Luna sat up and rearranged herself so that she was pillowed against his chest. Neville automatically wrapped his arms around her still overly thin frame and held her close. She shivered slightly for a moment, but then relaxed in his arms.

“Can you sleep like this?” She asked him, looking up into his eyes.

“Of course. I’ll keep the nargles away from you.” He murmured against her forehead then he tucked her head under his chin. She was asleep again almost immediately and Neville held her the entire night. One never knew when nargles might strike.

Song Prompt: Strong Enough to Break by Hanson
Word Count: 268
Pairing: Harry/Draco

It was always the same. No matter how many steps Harry took forward, he always took three steps back. His whole life had been one giant fucking game of strategy and Dumbledore had played him well. So well that once the war was over and Harry had free reign over his life, he had no idea what to do. No one was telling him to move right or left so he just stayed still.

Now, there were still some contributing forces in his life. Hermione and Ron were pushing him towards the ministry and Auror training and Molly Weasley was throwing Ginny at him like some kind of bait. Harry was sick of it all. He was sick of the manipulations, sick of the games and sick to death of his own indecisiveness. It was embarrassing to be the poster-boy for Gryffindor bravery-but be too afraid to move on with his own life.

Harry wanted to rebel. He wanted to be strong enough to break free of all the people fighting for Dumbledore’s role as puppet master. He was provided his chance with Draco Malfoy, but in the sarcastic blond, he found something else entirely.
The first time he brought Draco along to the Burrow it was for shock value. The second time was sheer curiosity. The third was a genuine bit of like. By the fourth, Harry was a goner. Draco wormed his way into Harry’s heart and stayed there. He gave Harry the courage to make his own choices-even though he often berated these decisions.

Draco let Harry be himself, and that was enough.

"Just say yes and put him out of his misery, Potter!" Pansy laughed, prompting Draco to glare at her.

Harry looked back and forth between Draco, who was kneeling beside his chair holding a set of beautiful silver rings, and their friends who were all grinning excitedly.

"You want to bond with me?" Harry was appalled to hear his voice crack and he cleared his throat self consciously.

Draco smiled and rolled his eyes.

"Of course I do, you idiot."

"Yes." Harry answered softly, leaning down to take the rings.

"It's about time!" Ron groaned thankfully.

Everyone agreed while the boys celebrated their engagement with a kiss. Now neither of them would ever have to be alone ever again because their love story had a happy ending.

Song Prompt: As Long As You Love Me by The Backstreet Boys

Word Count: 105

“Harry, do you ever ask yourself why you’re with me?” Draco asked, his eyes wide open in the dark bedroom.

“What’s wrong with you? Why would you ask me that?” Harry asked, his confusion apparent.

“Well, I mean, after the war and everything I’ve done to you, said to you… Why do you love me?” Draco bit his lip hard to keep it from quivering.

“Is this because of that prophet article?”

Draco nodded silently and Harry sighed.

“That was all a long time ago, Draco. You love me. At this point in my life, after watching so many people die, that’s all that matters.”

Song Prompt: Gravity by Sara Bareilles
Word Count: 140
Pairing: Harry/Draco

Draco knew that Harry wasn’t asleep. The other mans shoulders were too tense, his spine too rigid for him to be sleeping. It had been a very long day of Ministry functions and Harry had gone to bed early with a “headache” but Draco knew better. Harry didn’t want anyone to see him when he finally broke down. Harry hated to cry, hated the fact that he needed to cry sometimes. Draco reached out and ran a tentative hand down Harry’s back. The brunette gave a shuddering sigh and Draco reached his own breaking point. With a muffled curse he wrapped his whole body around Harry, anchoring him in his grief. The effect was instantaneous. All of Harry’s fragile strength was gone and all that was left was the broken young man that Draco had come to know and love.

Song Prompt: Lucy by Hanson
Word Count: 214
Pairing: Harry/Draco

“I think I made a mistake, Ron.” Harry mumbled, his speech impeded by all the alcohol he’d drunk.

“I doubt that, mate. You we’re right to leave that stupid ferret-I just can’t believe that you were ever dating that git in the first place.” Ron growled, taking a swig of his beer.

“He cried!” Harry moaned.

“He’s a poncy Slytherin, he was probably manipulating you.”

Suddenly the door to the Three Broomsticks flew open and Draco Malfoy stood silhouetted in the moonlight. Harry tried to hide behind his glass but Draco’s eyes fell right on him. The blonde stomped over to the bar and glared at Harry for a moment before swallowing thickly and sitting down between them.

“Hello Weasley, how are you this evening.” He asked through gritted teeth.

“Malfoy, what the fuck?” Ron asked, his eyes going wide.

“Harry, you wanted me to be nicer to your friends. You left me today because I wouldn’t be nicer to your friends. I’m making a fucking effort, so tell Weasley to do the same.” Draco growled.

Ron rolled his eyes when Harry’s smile took on a love sick quality. With a gusty sigh Ron held out his hand to Draco and tried to look friendly. It was going to be a long night.

Song Prompt: Yesterday by The Beatles
Word Count: 219
Pairing: Harry/Draco

When Draco Malfoy fell in love with Harry Potter, he knew it wasn’t going to be easy. At first there was the constant barrage of hate mail, and the ridiculous group of paparazzi that followed him everywhere-but never in his wildest dreams did he believe that he’d have to deal with Harry Potter dying. The-Boy-Who-Lived was invincible, an unsinkable ship if you will. And yet, 25 years after the final battle, Harry Potter was dying. The 42 year old man was bed-ridden and his body shutting down due to a lingering bit of Dark Magic that had originated in his scar. Draco took care of him daily, kept him clean and fed but he knew that he was fighting an up-hill battle. Every time he looked at his lover’s gaunt face he was struck by the memories of how different everything had been when they were younger. It seemed like only yesterday that they were hexing each other in the hallways-then growing up and shagging each other in the hallways.

Draco sniffled and wiped the away the tears that had sprang into his eyes. With a soft sigh he reached out and stroked Harry’s soft hair. Draco Malfoy knew that loving Harry Potter was not going to be easy, but he was thankful for the chance anyways.

“Beautiful.” Harry breathed as he pulled Draco’s shirt up and over his head.

“You always say that.” Draco flushed light pink and Harry couldn’t stop his grin.

“That’s because it’s true.” Harry murmured.

They fell back against the bed with a soft thump. Draco wiggled out of his jeans then helped Harry out of his. Their movements were practiced and completely in sync. Draco reached out and grabbed the bottle of lube while Harry positioned himself between his splayed thighs.

“I love you.” Harry whispered.

“I loved you first.” Draco replied with a smirk.

Harry contemplated denial but knew that Draco was right. Instead he leaned down and captured his lips in a kiss that left no argument about how much Harry loved him.

The day that Harry left Ginny had been spectacular. The fight had happened in the middle of Diagon Alley and the cost of repair had been over a thousand galleons. Apparently, Ginny had gotten it into her head that Harry needed her to take care of him. She mothered him in such a way that she even picked out his clothes. The row started when Harry was trying to decide what kind of ice cream he wanted that afternoon when Ginny suggest the fudge ripple. Harry exploded and told her that he could have whatever kind of ice cream he wanted, to which she replied that he was too indecisive for all that.

Well, that’s what happened according to the Daily Prophet. Draco didn’t ask questions when Harry showed up on his doorstep with a bottle of wine and a sexy grin. Draco didn’t even question the Gryffindor when he began stripping away his clothes. Obviously, Harry was much better off without Ginny in his life.
