Haha, good answer! I've always seen so much hate for RPS, and I've never understood it. I didn't want to admit this if there was some crazy stereotype about it.

Because they seem creepier. To me, the more accessible a person/character is, the weirder it is to be fascinated with them. I'm completely comfortable shipping/lusting after fictional characters. I feel kinda gross shipping/lusting after Celebrities (Pinto, anyone?). I downright squick myself when I ship/lust after minor celebrities (YouTube people, for instance).

I understand what you mean though. I always do feel a bit creepy when I think about how quickly I would hop in bed with certain actors if presented the opportunity. I guess I'm just a creepy person though, because I lust after people all the time, and I could probably get behind some RPS.

Yeah, that's where I am. I mean, I don't really ship any celebs, but I don't see why people are so creeped out by them.

Because there are deathfics and h/c fics which are very creepy when you realize it's about actual people. And because there's so much hate towards significant others who "destroy the ship".

Okay, that totally makes sense. I mean, I'm okay with cute, fluffy little mixes/icons/fics/whatever, but when people start taking it that seriously, I don't like it.
People get crazy about fandoms. I'm so new new to interacting in fandoms that is just shocks me xD
