Right. As of June 1, I'm ending the search--I've been able to find zero confirmed suspensions of support communities. The only remaining clue is a friend-of-a-friend situation who has not yet gotten back to me. If there is a confirmation, I'll post it ( Read more... )

It appears rainn was deleted and purged. You can delete your own community.

Purging is something the staff gets to over time--some deleted journals were floating around for six months without being purged, and we were told that all journals affected were permanently suspended, not deleted. No journals were deleted and purged on the night it happened. So it appears the maintainers of the community were the ones who got rid of it; I do not know how to find out when.

Heh. She's had a slightly different focus; some of the journals I've noted as survivor journals are clumped in with the rest, and she's missed one I saw. (That user's been silent; I actually went through deleted LJs Googling the names and checking the caches, which was extremely time-consuming and often inconclusive. x.x.) It raises my hopes that not so many survivor's journals were suspended.

Not so far, though. LJ is huge.

you should tell her, is she aware of this community?

I just went over there, disagreed with her on the final count of deleted survivor journals, and linked her here. XD

It's good to have confirmation from someone who was able to network on a larger scale. There was only so much searching I could do at the time, and the idea that a small comm had just slipped by me was very disconcerting.
