Totally unrelated but I just spotted this first part of an interview that you might find interesting. I remember that at some point you were reading one of her books...

Oh shoot, one more thing. Collen mentioned your idea for a Shakespeare/Movie Podcast and I think it's bloody brilliant! I'll try to make it out to BIFF next week and we should talk. If not, I'll drop you a line!

Hey, sorry it's taken me almost the length of November to get back to you, been busy plus always thought "well, maybe I'll see Marina at the next Firefly/13th. Colony/BIFF event and I'll talk to her about it then." Heh...Anyways, I'd still be interested in this idea, let me know what/when works for you. I like to think that my English Degree qualifies me to blather about Shakespeare-Film adaptations from Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet to 10 Things I Hate About You. Well, the degree and the fact that I've watched most of them. It would be ideal if we could line it up with a big upcoming Shakespeare release, but I don't know of one off the top of my head...ah well. I think I could make it pretty interesting, I do have some other, somewhat less literary ideas for movie themes if you're interested.

"When 'Shakespeare' meets 'The Movies', two mighty entities converge."

-Harry Keyishian

(That's a quote I just dug up, and no, I don't know who Harry Keyishian is either)

Cool. I don't think there's any Shakespeare coming down the movie pike but I'm sure we can find something to tie it into and, of course, that's never a NECESSITY. I'm thinking we could set it up for January some time. If you've got a list of movies you'd like to talk about, send it over and I'll pass it on to dale and colleen so we can all be prepared to discuss more in depth. Cool!
