No surprise there as far as I'm concerned, given the standard summer blockbuster hype combined with the mix of morbidity and sentimentality surrounding Heath Ledger's final performance.  Luckily, I saw the movie Friday night and am pleased to report that the movie more than lives up to its' hype.  Go see it ( Read more... )

I have to disagree with ya on Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face.

The first modern series of Batman movies were dark but not as dark as the current series. With Jim Carrey's portrayal of the Riddler, it would of been dissident with the general feeling of the movie for Jones to play Two-Face super darkly.

I'll be wool-gathering on the future sequels in my own review later today.

Cool, are you going to Weird Al? After last year's disappointment-I waited until the last possible moment to get tickets and it sold out-it might be worthwhile. I *might* be busy that weekend, but let me know what night you plan to go and I'll see if I can make it.
