It's not a ton, like $35 for 10 articles and $90 for 25 and so forth. Anyway, I picked up this 24 article job on astronomy and telescopes. I was really excited ( Read more... )

nope, you are not being a baby. things just run differently at different places and it takes a while to get used to it. they are probably not running it in the ways you have found work better, but this is probably one of those 'get to it and learn some thimgs while getting some experience' lessions, and not where you will need to stay.

good luck!

I think you're probably right about that. It's more of a resume builder than something I would ever consider doing long term. I didn't burn the bridge though, so I can always go back for some quick cash.

You are an amazing person and I am so glad, every day, that you're back in my life. You don't know, I can't even put into words, how much I missed you.

Uh, I believe I asked for people to tell me I'm /not/ being a baby. ;P

I am glad I like my real job. Very much so, but that doesn't mean I have to not be upset when people are assholes. *snugs* Are you liking your job?

I do vow if/when I ever become in a position to review stories/articles that I won't be an ass. It's so discouraging. How can one want to be a writer when people are such jerks? I guess it goes with any career though. Just art sometimes tends to be closer to one's heart.

The transcription is boring. I like the challenge of it, but once I get that down I'll probably drive myself nuts. I'd rather be bored at this job though, than at one in retail or food service. Or hell even mail processing which I did in Portland.
