A Great Accomplishment

Some of you may remember my LJ entry awhile ago about Life Goals (looking back over that list, there are several things I would like to revise). I was able to cross another one off on February 28th, 2008. I went to see my very first opera.

YAY, congrats for meeting a goal!! You kind of make me want to go to an opera... hmmmm...

I think you would enjoy it. It was a lot of fun. I love plays and things like that, especially musicals, and it was kinda like that. Only not as Hollywood. I've been told that La Traviata is one of the ABCs of Opera along with Carmen and Madame Butterfly. It's the Opera that was in Pretty Woman too!

Awesome! Whenever I thought about the opera, I always worried I'd go and sit there, unable to understand or appreciate anything that was happening. So it's good to hear that they tried to make it accessible. Sounds very enjoyable! Now I have to reel Mike into the idea and find one. haha.

That was one of my biggest concerns as well. In fact, I was kinda dreading it because I wasn't sure I was going to be able to understand. Make sure you find out if they're going to provide the translation because I don't think that's standard procedure.

       I miss you. Glad you had fun. You are very smart, I wish you would stop being insecure about people's education. You are one of the most educated people I know. Seriously. That is not flattery.

I miss you too. I keep planning on stopping by Society but then I get all distracted. I like about you almost daily though. :)

Yeah, I wish I wasn't so insecure about education either, and I emphatically disagree with being a well educated person, but I like knowing that you think I'm smart. :)
