That's a good reminder. I often find myself worrying over a lot of my friends at my home church. We've grown up at the church together, but really, I can't say for certain that they're saved. And so I began to develop this savior complex, that if I could just go back south after graduation, and help out the church, then everything will be all right. But that's pretty stupid of me to think that, isn't it? A dispassionate church doesn't need me, it needs God.
we ask God to solve a problem for us, but our way. But many times, though God is faithful to see us through that problem, He has another way for us to get out of our situations that is more blessed and fulfilling, not to mention, lasting. Amen to that. :)
It's comforting to know that I am not alone in what I'm going through. I like what you said: a dispassionate church doesn't need me: it needs God.
I'm praying for you too. It's hard to go through this because we care. But I know God will take care of it all and our labor, in the end, will not be in vain.
