Wow, moving up here would be a big change for you. I'm an Edmonton girl myself and some days I've gotta say I'd much rather be living in Vancouver or California than the frozen wasteland that is central Alberta ( ... )

And I'm sorry about the lame places you've been stationed. I have an AF friend, enlisted last year and immediately went to Korea. Next year, he moves to Italy. Most of my friends are from military families and the best postings I've ever heard: Redondo Beach, Puerto Rico, Virginia, St. Thomas, Virginia again, and St. Thomas again. The family's still in the Caribbean, but my friend has finally left the nest...and is training dolphins in Dubai. It sounds like I'm making this all up. I'm not.

Well I have certainly never lived in Canada, but I love it there. I think you should absolutely grab the opportunity if you think you could enjoy it at all.

Also, I loathe the South. Pretty much everything about it. There are certain things you have to know about yourself, and the fact that I could never live there falls into that category for me!

That would be a cool opportunity! I hope you jump on it if you get the chance. I have never been to Canada, but I hear only great things, especially from Canadians.
