I'm so glad you can laugh off the flames! And so sorry that for some reason you get so many of them. From the ff.net profile it's a sock puppet/troll account made just for being a dick to actual authors - not that it hurts any less to constantly get criticised.

*hugs back* :) Thank you! It's hard to take these bums seriously when you've written over 50 fics and the fic in question has 22 followers on ff.net. Oh, plus this troll left it on chapter 8. *facepalms*

I think I lost count of the number of flames, but this is only my second fic to receive them. I take it as a sign that, for a change, I'm writing for a popular fandom ("Arrow")--and apparently that's a mixed blessing.
