I assume it's because neither of us is on the team of writers (the more's the pity). I don't recall them mentioning poor Tommy this time, but don't hold me to that. At least Thea is done with his BS and since she was the reason Oliver was making exceedingly strange bedfellows, so to speak, hopefully that will be the end of that.
WHY don't they turn Merlyn in for blowing up the Glades? I'm sure a supermax or blacksite could hold him. Who cares about Merlyn's rights? As the main character on the 90s show 'Maximum Bob' proclaimed: "A liberal is just someone who ain't been mugged yet!"
I believe it's: "A liberal is a conservative who's been arrested. A conservative is a liberal who's been mugged." Amusing, and I'm sure there's some wisdom in it, but I haven't been arrested or mugged.
Anyway, I personally am all for Merlyn getting a fair trial so long as 1. potential jurors are carefully screened so that no one who is anti-death penalty gets on the panel and 2. the jury isn't corrupted the way Moira's was.
Absent him getting the death penalty, I will admit that life in supermax without the possibility of parole ought to be fairly severe, I'm just not sure whether it fits his crime of the premeditated murder of hundreds (and, knowing "Arrow," you know the writers would find a way to break him out of there.)

Why is Merlyn still alive? Did Tommy even rate a mention?
