Who's up for a little homemade cooking?

Ever since the Animagus debacle (yes, it was), I've been spending lots of time with Dobby in the kitchens avoiding Dra- Malfoy. He's been showing me tons of new recipes and even how to cook with things from the Forbidden forest! I've made this soup up from some herbs and plants, so everyone who's feeling ( Read more... )

I lost track of time in the library and missed dinner - I would love to try some of the soup. Is it poisonous salty?

Not terribly. I used dandelions instead of salt. Have a taste!

Dandelions? ...instead of salt. Er, I hadn't realized they were terribly similar - that is, I've never tasted- well, all right then.

They also give the broth that nice rich yellow colour; isn't it pretty? And it's really good. You can hardly taste the bark!

Actually, it's more like they're helping me. I was never able to get the hang of cooking when I was at home, but that might have been more because of my mum hanging over my shoulder with angry eyebrows and a wooden spoon.
