So. This community is so people can rant about Deathly Hallows or even just your least favorite book, OR EVEN, the movies!

For instance, PoA was an atrocious movie and totally my least favorite and I think Daniel Radcliffe crying was the worst acting I've ever seen.

Anyone have anything to add?

PoA happens to be my favorite, simply because it was a MOVIE, not just a summary of the books. Aside from that vomit-inducing crying scene.

Great name for the community XD

OotP was my favorite film. PoA was second, but does anyone else think Jo has just screwed the WB? Who's going to pay money to see this mess? They really have to bend over and take it with this. I don't think DH is even filmable.

I agree, PoA the movie was muito terrible. I've heard some people wanting to bring Cuaron back and I cry everytime I hear about it. Please, merciful Gods don't let that man direct another movie... one was bad enough.

yes, I mean, the movie was beautifully shot and all that but I just don't think the characters or anything were there.

I loved OotP so hard. I loved how "dark" it was. I also really liked GoB - it was a nice transition from the "whimsical" we were so used to into the "dark" that was to follow with GoB.

There isn't a movie I didn't like, but those 2 are really good in my opinion. I can't wait to have ALL the movies on dvd and have a freaking marathon. haha

I agree!

I really also like the first movie and book because, well, I don't really know. They aren't my favorite at all, but they're about third in my ranking haha.

I think the first one is so well-liked because... well... it was all so new. We were all seeing this amazing world for the first time. Wizardry and magic - learning all these enchanting things WITH Harry (I think we all, in a way, identified with him). So, the light-hearted whimsy of the first movie/book is why everyone liked it so much.

The 2nd one really showed Harry using what he was learning and finding himself. Then PoA was pretty good. It wasn't the best, but I didn't find it particularly bad either (Harry needs to be a better crier, tho. LOL). But I really REALLY liked GoB and OotP. I love that the movies "grew up" with the trio and adapted to the situations they were going through.

My main "beef" with PoA is that it is nothing like the book. I mean, I was reading the books just this past week and I had forgotten how much they had changed, which is pretty much everything, and I totally understand an exact book to movie translation is not the best idea, BUT, as I was reading the book I was imagining some of the scenes and I thought "Why they change it, it's perfect the way it's described in the book...". I could imagine how the scenes just could've been just a tad more true to the books. And not to mention all these added scenes... ugh, that part where the trio hugs!? So ooc...
