Introducing... the Long-wattled Umbrellabird

The long-wattled umbrellabird is a large black bird with a body length reaching 51 centimeters in the males. Females are only about half the size of the males. Looking at the male bare-necked umbrellabird, the long-wattled females seem positively picky.

I described the wattle as a pinecone, too, and shouted in surprise every time it inflated. And the pompadour just slays me. What an utterly bizarre critter! A+, will laugh again.
