According to io9, apparently M. Night's panel had the distinction of all the questions being pre-selected. How puzzling that he went on about a sequel to a movie that came out years ago, but still nothing on TLA2.
Pre-selected? Then what the hell was the point of the panel? They have those at comiccons so that the fans get a chance to actually get their specific questions answered, that's what makes the experience so special for a lot of people and why so many people wait hours in line to get into one panel. Sounds like he could have just made a youtube video or something. What a pointless exercise in ego.
Then again, it is Shyamafail we're talking about, so I'm not all that surprised.
Because if someone shattered his ego, we would have footage of him blowing up on stage and then the news media would eat it up and would totally ruin his PR.
that's because he already has the greenlight for the unbreakable sequel - sort of. he ended up cannibalizing the plot for it to make his third "night chronicles" movie so he won't be writing or directing it. so it's not a TRUE sequel, which is probably a blessing considering how much people liked unbreakable and how shitty his work has become, but he's trying to bill it as such to suck in all the aforementioned unbreakable fans. sort of like what he did with TLA: "if you liked [previous high-quality property], check this out! i've completely sodomized the original and flayed it alive with toothpicks and a dull spoon, but it's still technically related by some tiny thread

"Maybe the best comic book movie ever made" That...isn't directed at Shyamalan, is it? I mean, yeah maybe he made a couple of good movies in his prime, but I'd still not go so far as to say they were the best of any genre :/ No, no, can't be about him...
As much as I would have loved to see some cray zay shit go down, I know if I was there I wouldn't want to waste my time with this guy either. And this was uploaded quite promptly, wasn't it? When did this happen?
It happened yesterday during his panel. It wasn't anything to worry over missing: the questions were pre-selected so there was no chance of anything critical reaching his poor ears; he mostly reminissed and told stories about the making of Unbreakable; and apparently he didn't give much indication of what he would do in the future either. Seems pretty pointless.
