where... where are they even getting this idea that critics even SAW an extended cut, much less praised it? not to mention shyamalan himself said he was not going to release a director's cut, ever. it wasn't cut because it was too long, the director himself made the decision to cut certain scenes for... whatever psychotic reasons float around in his head when he makes any decision. more footage isn't going to make the movie better - it won't change the acting, it won't change the dialogue, it won't change the "martial arts", and it won't change the myriad ways shyamalan fucked up the story itself. it's not like people are saying "oh it's shit because the kyoshi warriors aren't in it, if only they'd left that scene in," EVERYTHING is wrong with it. a few extra minutes of movie won't fix that.
i went into walmart yesterday and they had a poster for the TLA DVD at the entrance like they do with upcoming releases... i blew a raspberry at it. i'm sure the greeter thought i was insane but oh well. XD
