It's a visual depiction of privileged folk who desperately want to avoid the 400 pound gorilla in the room when talking about the racefail in the movie.
because it was the show's stilted dialogue, bipolar pacing and disjointed plotline that garnered an audience of millions and half a dozen prestigious awards. 9__9

The magical ability that this man has of transporting his world around him into a strange fairy-tale land fascinates me. I wish I could go around, stating that all things that are wrong with the world in relation to myself are the faults of others, even when it so clearly is my own fault. And I would be able to get away with it, too!
