How to use curves

This is a tutorial I would like to share with you. I didn't make it, so no thanks to me, hehe.
All in all, I think it explains the basics of using curves very well, so it's definitely worth sharing, imo.

I haven't been able to figure out how to use curves and the tuts that I have found suck!!!!

*grins* Thank you very much, hehe. I have already tried to explain curves in the written word, but this is ever so much better than I could ever manage! (you know my windiness by now, I think.)
and yeah. most of the selective coloring and curves tutorials aren't very helpful at all. they usually don't explain why things are done, or what the things one does do to the image. *hopes that makes sense* =P
So this tutorial is the best I've ever come across so far.
