Sat was not friendly

So i got into work today and started my normal day. My boss came in and just casually told me that Don Thompson (the architect that worked for us when i first got here) Died saturday. No specifics just that he passed away. And that was it. Just a little cold hearted i think (though it could just be shock, so i will give the benifit of the dought). ( Read more... )

Crap. This has been the Summer of Death. Since May, seven parents of friends, plus my neices. And the usual friends' grandparents. I bet I've been to a dozen funerals.
The best I've been able to come up with is telling people I'm close to that I love them, and never parting from my wife and family without kisses and hugs. Not much, but at least if something happens, you parted on good loving terms.

My real deep thoughts anyway. So very tired of feeling sad this year...

well it's always good advice to hug and kiss your loved ones when you part. It's something i'll always do. This just kind of engrains it more. Thanks for the thoughts. I'm sending mine to those who need them.

I just smack my SO on the bum and tell her what I'm going to want for dinner on my way out the door.
